yep spam will prefer dealing with City so they can get Phillips in return.

Good as Rice is, if you're West Ham you're laughing if you get Phillips plus enough money to buy a top player in another position. Phillips is a very good player. He just needs a run of games and to keep himself fit.
I don't think City really need Rice at all. Woolwich do. I wonder if it's more of a case of them getting him more so just to stop him from strengthening Woolwich or United. I mean they also have Rico Lewis coming through who will probably end up as a defensive midfielder, who Guardiola likes a lot.
How often do player swaps happen? And why would Phillips want to go to West Ham?
I think he wants to at least try and break in to the first team at city, as unlikely as it might sound.Philips will be sitting on the bench and little else. He may or may not be happy with that but if he wants to actual play football West Ham would be fine.

If he didn’t think he could do it and wanted first team football, he would’ve just stayed at his boyhood club.
Penny for Kalvin Phillips' thoughts if Rice goes to City. I appreciate he has a treble of medals for doing fuck all, but his opportunities will be very limited if Rice goes there. More than they already were.
Also, if Rice goes to City it'll be for more than 100m. Fuck them and their pathetic Kane pursuit.

City might not view it like that though. Rice is elite, him and Rodri together with Gvardiol would make the strongest defensive set up of any team in world football. They could even keep Stones in the team in the RCB position. Breaking down the below unit would be a nightmare.
Ederson
Stones Dias Gvardiol
Rice Rodri
Yeh, Ake & Akangi would be the losers here... Not Stones.
CB: Stones / Dias / Gvardiol
+ Ake & Akangi
CM: Rice, Rodri, Kovacic double pivot rotation..... All capable of striding into AM areas of the pitch.
Agreed although both Ake and Akanji are able to play RCB, LCB and CB given how many games City will play you think even with Stones Dias and Gvardiol they would get game time.
Their defensive setup is going to be crazy good if they get Rice and Gvardiol.
Philips is made of tissue paper... If he's over his injuries then OK.Good as Rice is, if you're West Ham you're laughing if you get Phillips plus enough money to buy a top player in another position. Phillips is a very good player. He just needs a run of games and to keep himself fit.

Adams is a 6 for the USMNT and IMO he's best suited there, but he's played fullback at RB Leipzig.Villa? How many central midfielders do they want? They've already got McGinn, Ramsey, Douglas Luiz, Kamara and Tielemans. All fine players.
Surprised Liverpool aren't in for Adams. He's a good, energetic player and would compliment Mac Allister well.
