They won a treble and bought Kovacic and probably Rice. I mean come on.
I don't think City really need Rice at all. Woolwich do. I wonder if it's more of a case of them getting him more so just to stop him from strengthening Woolwich or United. I mean they also have Rico Lewis coming through who will probably end up as a defensive midfielder, who Guardiola likes a lot.
They can afford whoever they want... and if it's simply to stop other teams strengthening, then it's as shrewd a signing as anything...

...and, dare I say it (without being accused of 'melting') but if the Arse DID get Rice, it would improve their team immensely and be a definite upgrade on either Xaka or Partay!

They'd essentially be doing summit similar to what Liverpool did when they signed VVD and Allison: identify a problem area from the previous season, and improve on it...
And we all know what Liverpool did the following season!

I'm trying NOT to worry about the Arse IF they got Rice... but it's a definite concern!!

Mentioned this kid a few times, he's looked very promising whenever I've seen him. Has that kind of Aubamayang, Plea type vibe about him, kind of..(not identical obviously, but that kind of wide/9 type), looks like RBL are eyeing him as the replacement for Nkunku

He’s a centreback

Mr West Ham wants to go to a derby rival. Just imagine Kane desperate to go to Chelsea, that is basically what Rice is doing.

It wouldn’t be for anything if Rice didn’t go around before trying to kiss up to West Ham fans and make himself seem like their saviour. I live in a West Ham supporting area and quite a number of them are sick he is going there, not as bad as coming to us but it has soured the relationship.

If he went City or United I think it would be fine but Woolwich is a bit of a kick in the teeth for a player who apparently loves them.
Yeah the same way he loved Ireland. The prick. His up the ‘ra tweets are still out there.
