True.

You're missing a step though. Brentford knows the exact parameters in terms of the risk of him flopping. Again, they've proven time and time, they know their shit, and the risk of his performances dropping off a cliff after six stellar seasons is miniscule. I'll take their numbers, and the numbers I can see myself, and my own eye test over you randomly saying if....

Edit: Point being, it isn't a binary calculation of either he succeeds or he fails. There's layers to it. This understanding is where Benham and Bloom, with their backgrounds, outperforms the chairmen/DOFs/scouting departments of other clubs imo.
mate this isn't some elaborate plan/thought process on Brentfords part like you're trying to make out.

They quoted a price that nobody was willing to meet. They then stated they were going to keep him if nobody met the price. They then signed his replacement. They then stated again they were going to keep him if nobody met price. They then folded and had to accept a measly 3m loan fee in the hope that they can recoup a further 27m if he performs (couldn't even get an obligation).

The alternative was that he sits on the bench and sits out his contract. They were desperate and had to take the only offer that was on the table.

Not often that you see a player switch clubs out of love.

Starfelt's girlfriend played for Celtic's womens team. And has now moved to Sporting.

Bit easier to keep a relationship going with just 4 hours by car as the distance.
