Think Newcastle are a good example of how hard it is to keep on building when you get higher up the league. They've blatantly got spending power and have been pretty consistent in their league position for 3 or so years but fundamentally why the fuck would you go to a team that's building when you can instantly go to a team that's challenging for titles.

They've got a good squad but there's not a signing in there that was particularly a marquee that other big clubs where looking at/needed at the time, Woolwich didn't fancy Isak, bought Everton's best player and Lyons best player, winger from relegated Leicester, Tonali from a Milan that needed the funds. They've made most of the players they bought better but still can't attract anyone that has the opportunity to go to any of the 'big 5'. Feel like we've been floating in the same position since Poch.

Crazy they went for ekitike instead of just going full pelt for isak. Unless they plan on playing isak on the left.

They can sell diaz to bayern for 70m and nunes can go for about 40m.

Both Isak and Ekitike’s biggest strengths is their all court game. Both can run channels, dribble and take on full backs similar to Darwin Nunez while both can also operate centrally as well holding up the ball and laying it off. Both of them could operate in a Thierry Henry style role not just as an out and out 9 so I don’t see any issue both playing. Slot is very flexible as well. I’d be surprised if Slot couldn’t make that work. Difficult to think of two better young all round forwards than those two. Annoys how Liverpool are playing smart. Least it fucks the goons.

Agree, we should be after another striler too, IMO, plenty of good options in the market.
