Player Pape Sarr

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I'm a first gen Aussie with Russian background - I couldn't give a rat's if he's English 😄

There are obviously better players out there, but he's a hard working player on and off the ball, with skill and guile. Never bad to have in a competitive squad.
Gallagher is a die hard Chelsea fan. The first time he has a bad game, or even makes a bad pass, he would get slaughtered. He would be on a hiding to nothing. That and the fact he isn't as good as what we already have means it is a no. Very expensive squad filler, that's probably why we didn't make more effort to go for him at the time he was available. It would have been like bringing in a new Hojbjerg at twice the cost just as we were trying to get PEH to move on.

Was he playing tonight ? Totally ineffective at playing the 8 role and then it looked like the 10 position which is ridiculous for a player that can't create or shoot.
Gray , Bentancur , Bergvall , kulu and Maddison should all be in front of him.
Not much more than just a runner.
Given strong direction under a meticulous manager who actually gives a moments consideration to his midfield composition, Sarr could be a very effective player.

He's got a good attitude, and excellent physical attributes, technical side of things nothing stands out as bad, but nothing great either, and no brain whatsoever.

His physical attributes would have been of more value around 20-30 years ago. But just running around a bit doesn't cut it these days since that's what everybody does, in addition to being skilled on the ball and offering other things that is. You no longer need one dimensional workhorses who'll cover for a more creative but lazy playmaker playing in front of them, but do nothing else of significance.

I'm of the opinion that pretty much everybody in this team deserves a fair shot under a more competent manager, but I also share the sentiment that Sarr is an easily replaceable player for the most part. This doesn't mean we should actually be replacing him tomorrow, but I don't see a great amount to get excited about.

He's clearly a decent young man. Not one of the entitled man children that modern sport produces.

On his form he's like the rest of them he doesn't know what he is supposed to be doing. The coach makes players worse over the longer term.
Kid would be much better if Bissouma weren't about.

Also would benefit from having a proper elite CM next to him...so not Bentancur.

One Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has been asked directly about a potential switch to some of Europe’s biggest clubs in the summer, and he gave a very interesting response.

Pape Sarr speaks about his Tottenham transfer dream

Senegalese outlet D Sports spoke to Pape Sarr about his future on the back of the youngster’s impressive rise over the last couple of years at Tottenham.

The 22-year-old insisted that he does not pay any attention to the transfer rumours, insisting that he is fully focused on doing well for Spurs.

Sarr said: “There are people who deal with these aspects for me. I am focusing on the field and on Tottenham. I have to be efficient, and I trust my agents to manage discussions with other clubs. For now, I’m here, and I’m totally focused on Tottenham.”

When asked specifically what he would do if the likes of Real Madrid, PSG and Bayern Munich came calling for him tomorrow, the midfielder responded: “Every player dreams of climbing the ladder and playing with the biggest clubs in the world.

“But as I said, I’m at Tottenham, and I’m focusing on this season with them. Anything that comes next will be a bonus. I am ready for all the challenges that will come to me.”

It’s such a bland, generic statement. These players are trained like MI6 agents on what to say to the media. Yet another reason why modern football is crap
