Agree but what's the alternative? At the moment I assume it will be Bentancur, Odobert (?), and one more, who? Porro who hasn't played there before? Bissouma who lets us down far more often than he doesn't? Who else is there?Don’t want him starting on Wednesday as he offers very little.
I think he will start with Biss and Bentancur Odobert maybe but he hasn’t done enough to start though.Agree but what's the alternative? Pape is bang out of form and whilst probably useful as a sub for legs in the Final, he was meant to be much more than that this season.
Truth is, by now he was meant to be a player who could change games from MF, and he hasn't taken that step. Most of the season I've defended his form, and in his defense, he's increased his goal involvements this year, but he just hasn't found the maturity.
It's getting to the point where he might need a move for it to click in his head that you only get one career, and nobody has time to wait for you to figure it out.
I still believe in him and think he’s a great prospect. He needs better coaching- has loads of talent but is a kid that needs constant guidance and direction- like much of our team.
He’s a player that was trained in a very specific role in teams playing measured football, not gung ho bullshit. Sadly I think he along with many others are actually regressing right now without quality tactical coaching.

Italy on loan could work but he’d probably take that as the end of his time here.I'd send him out on loan next season. Thinking Ligue 1, especially Nice whose manager (Haise) is very good at turning potential into actual elite quality. Lille under Genesio, Monaco under Hutter (and with Dier), Strasbourg under Liam Rosenior also good shouts.
Catching up with an Italian pal of mine earlier and he said why not Genoa...Patrick Vieira is their gaffer. Yeah he was average as Palace boss, but the man knows a thing or two about becoming an unreal DM/CM. Both from Senegal too. More I think about it, more it makes sense. Could even send them Dragusin for a year so he gets his mojo back in familiar surroundings.
He has wasted a year under a coach that's greatest ability is to completely undermine a players understanding of a position.I'd send him out on loan next season. Some times it literally takes the right coach and system. An you unlock all the levelsI agree about playing under a fvckwit but I still don't think much of him overall
What is he actually really good at?
Bit of a nothing player right now.
It’s not belief for me. His ability is clear and you don’t need belief to see it.
But he’s 22 and 23 soon. Can’t be potential for much longer. With his ability, he should be taking games by the scruff of the neck by now, regardless of the coaching
After two seasons here I don't see the 'a lot of things he is good at'. What are they? His shooting is hit and miss, and he shows the technique flaws that Bentancur and Bissouma have. The good thing about his game is his stamina, and ability to get up and down the pitch. The form he showed at Metz has been devoid for much of his time here. Like most of our players he's not up to scratch in what he tries to do.We are stupid. Sarr was being trained as a deep playmaking 6 at Metz, which was a role he excelled at. He is good at a lot of things. He's one of our best long-shooting threats from midfield in that he's actually hit nice strikes from deep for us before-unlike Bissouma or Bentancur.
Playing in this moronic system under this fake of a coach is doing him no favors. If we are to persist like this as a club I hope that a lot of these players, who I personally like, leave Tottenham for the sake of their careers.
