If you're making a point about the players saying they are inconsistent and putting it on the coach, why don't you keep the same energy for Romero?
Are you seriously asking why do expect bit different things from 27 yo player supposedly being in prime age and from 22 yo player? Also one seemingly being totally disinterested, other one always working and trying his best (though with limited success of late, I admit) ?
But you made an exception for Bentancur who is the same age as Romero and Solanke who is a year younger?
Also you can make the same case with most of those players you listed saying that Romero is "disinterested"

I have not seen either Bentancur nor Solanke act like they would be too good for this club. Nor do I remember them saying that "they would have left if there was no change in management" nor thanking their national team physios for injury recovery and other sfuff like that.
So, yea, different players, different actions, different views on them.
But no point wasting too much breath on him luckly. He will not be our problem for long, most likely one game remains and we can all forget that we had anything to do with that little pink princess

But your gripe about Romero was that he was 'inconsistent', I take your point about him being interested and downing tools but some leeway needs to be had if he's been inconsistent and you acknowledge that our other players are suffering the same fate then maybe the issue isn't all totally down to the players, don't you think?
