Player Pape Sarr

goes under the radar a bit with his end product, absolute class for johnson's goal, picked the ball up and after taking it away from trouble he puts a lovely weighted pass in with his left foot for johnson to run onto.

hes already big for us, but this year could be the year he really does explode and gets a rep outside of the club.
 
Way too many platitudes being bandied about like confetti, not just on Sarr, but a lot of our players, in too short a time.

I want to see 10 to 15 games at a high level, before I commit to or join in adulation.

One or two games means nothing.

But it is nicer to hear good things about our players than bad, and long may that continue, as it will only mean one thing.

I agree. Let’s see where we are after the November international break and how players are doing. It’s good that we have some positivity again though.
 
Played the biggest role in both goals: A difficult flick on that let Richarlison loose in the 1st, and that interception inside their box in the 2nd.

Still doesn't offer a great amount with the ball, he probably will never evolve into that kind of a player in fact, but a surprisingly good start to the season nonetheless. Well done.

Even if we get in a better passer for the 10 role Pape starts deeper instead of either Benta or Palhinha
