The thing is 99% of the people commenting on this thread don’t really have a clue about football. They really only want managers who have name recognition no matter what. Who knows he could actually turn out good. If he’s appointed I’m willing to get behind him and give him a chance.

No manager is a given in regards to success, that much is clear. But there's nothing about this guy that makes you think "That's a good appointment". Absolutely nothing.

Of course, he could surprise us all and be a resounding success down the line. Humble pie always tastes good to me. But I'd rather be pleasantly surprised than to try and make out it's anything other than a very under-whelming potential appointment right now.
