Player Pedro Porro

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Once Udogie is back properly and in form, I think Frank will drop Porro for Spence against the better sides.

But that all depends on if Udogie gets back into form, because let's not forget how awful he was under Ange defensively.

Right, it's not as if Udogie has shown himself to be rock-solid defensively trustworthy himself.

And I still think I disagree because of Porro's dead ball ability, plus his passing, aspects that don't get adequately replaced with him out of the team. (Does Simons take attacking free kicks? Kudus? Who would it even be?)

Porro is capable of keeping attackers in check better than the spanking he took from Semenyo last weekend, and we'll need that from him because he's pretty essential.

What a terrible play by Pedro Porro. Most unusually terrible. Almost like he wants to err. Wikipedia says that he plays for the Spanish national team. But some national football associations call up particular players to inflate their value so they could be internationally sold. This is most terrible. No words.

I don’t. I think Porro owns the right back position. Udogie has not been in form since Ange’s first 4 months. He’s the one that has the biggest fight for me.

His defending was a worry when he first came but he's really worked on it and improved dramatically in that area. Couple that with his on ball ability and you have one of the best full backs going on his day. Outstanding.

Love the lad, but now we have good squad depth don't need to play him every game, he's not that good defensively.
Having 3 LB/RB in total is depth? We are one short for that and if one of those three gets injured, that's it, the remaining two play every game until the 3rd one is fit again.

It's a terrible position to be in. And why getting a LB to push/1st choice over Udogie was so important. And LCB to come to think of it... We got 6/7 RCB's... FFS! :(

We have 3 first team quality fullbacks, giving Spence can play both we could rotate them well. But I agree with you, another fullback would be fine. Grey and Davies can cover for emergencies tough.

I wouldn't use Davies, he is just not good or fast enough.

And would like Grey to come on and learn from Paulinha in his natural position as DM. Trying to fit square pegs in round holes has been the bane of this club over the years. To many can play across the front, rather than exceptional players in positions where they excel at.

Yeah, they are last options in fact. But as long as he is staying with us he can be called when we are short of options for LB. But it would be nice to have another more reliable LB option.

Let's not ignore the fact that the 2 of them (Udogie and Porro) spent 2 whole seasons playing as 10's.
:ange-facepalm2:

They were as much to blame for a number of goals a Maddison was.
