You can’t “obligate” a player to sign a contract. Only clubs have obligatory clauses in dealings. Then it’s up to the player.

No. It's 1974. Most of us need to rent a television to watch the FA Cup final. Until this morning I thought Sporting Lisbon was a brand of Portuguese athletic wear.
So another thread hijacked by the anti Levy mob. Had it not gone through Sporting would have an unhappy player, Sporting had a player set up to come in who also would have been pissed together with his club not getting the money.
