Player Pedro Porro

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

If we get Porro which looks likely, I don’t want any of the usual Spurs shit we do in integrating them in slowly. I want him starting immediately against Mancity at home. No Doherty. No Royal. Get this guy started. Every other club buys players and starts them almost immediately.

Levy is definitely stretching this out so we go past the 28th (payday) isn't he?

You joke, but I genuinely believe we start our summer business later than most teams is because it saves 2 or 3 months of wages.
Say we sign 3 players on June 1st who don't play until August 19th on an average £80k a week each
That's £80k x 3 x 12 weeks = £2,880,000 saving

Reports suggesting the deal includes a provision to allow Porro to play for Sporting against Porto on Saturday, so it's unlikely he'll be available for City.

Pronunciation obsessives should be aware that the "rr" in his surname means you have to really roll the "r" sound by letting your tongue vibrate against the roof of your mouth as it does when you say "Grrrrrrr".

Hope this helps
I couldn't roll my RRs until I was into my teens. It made me sound like a right stupid guiri.
El perro de San Roque no tiene rabo porque Ramon Ramirez se lo ha cortado.
That was a nightmare tongue-twister for me. LOL

Nah nah nah nah nah surely when he's signed and registered he's ours and he can't actually play for anyone else unless we're delaying that just for one last match.

In which case I don't trust Chelsea not to do what we did to Everton. Even if they don't want him they can't help themselves.

Based on our last outing against them and the fact we're better away from home, I don't think 1 player makes a difference.
