Player Pedro Porro

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Porro has been an ironman this season and last, he's good enough to be on the best national team in the world and plenty good enough for us. Given the other gigantic holes replacing him is item #5142 on the list of shit that needs to be addressed this summer.

His contract is up in '28. Do you want to offer him a new contract? At some point we'll have to make a decision on that.

Have you watched a single minute of us this season? There are considerable bigger weaknesses than porro to worry about

I disagree.

Porro is targetted by opposition teams for a reason.

He can't defend.

Rarely stops crosses / stops wingers cutting inside and is continually caught out of position when he isn't falling on the floor and crying.

Peter Spliff is a big part of the reason why Spurs keep finishing 17th.

Get rid as soon as.

He was arguably best player on the pitch against Everton and has been great to end the season. But that doesn’t erase the fact he’s an erratic madman who is nowhere near consistent enough. He’s good but thinks too highly of himself and is therefore often looking for excuses.

Sure he has “passion” but for me, that passion is too often misplaced. Wasn’t he an architect of the fans vs players thing earlier in the season?

He’s not the most pressing sale to make and if DeZerbi likes him then I’ll back that. But my worry is he’s a bad influence on the rest of the team. I think one of our biggest downfalls this season was that the madmen Vicario, Romero and Porro were the “leaders”. I think that’s had a negative effect on the overall attitude of the squad.

I like him. I love his passion. He has been one of our better players this season (I appreciate that is not saying a great deal). He has played out of his skin since De Zerbi took the reins. I think, if we keep him, he'll be a revelation next season.

Looks like the Spanish National Team Manager isn't listening to your expert opinions.

He is far from perfect and I didn’t like his comments towards fans earlier in the season. That said we have far more pressing issues than replacing him; and I thought he was one of our better players yesterday so I’m surprised at the timing of some of these posts.

Now is exactly the time to be looking at who goes and stays back to back 17th finishes isn't something to sleep on. He may not be number one problem but he is a poor deffender in a four. Its about what RDZ has in mind shape wise will decided his future.

Think we'd be a lot better off if he wasn't the undisputed starting RB and we could rotate him in/out depending on the opposition.

Like against Chelsea they clearly targeted him and had some success down that side, but against some other teams where there's little threat it's v.useful to have a guy that can pass and cross like Porro at RB.

He's always gonna be a bang average defender, though, so if he's a guaranteed starter that will consistently cause us issues.

The issue is we need so many positions to be upgraded first

Striker
Left back
Left wing
Midfielder (who can pass)
Goal keeper

How much money will we actually spend? I would rather prioritise these areas first before looking at Porro.
