Player Pedro Porro

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Have you watched a single minute of us this season? There are considerable bigger weaknesses than porro to worry about

I disagree.

Porro is targetted by opposition teams for a reason.

He can't defend.

Rarely stops crosses / stops wingers cutting inside and is continually caught out of position when he isn't falling on the floor and crying.

Peter Spliff is a big part of the reason why Spurs keep finishing 17th.

Get rid as soon as.

We get targeted by a lot of crosses anyway because Vicario cannot deal with even the simplest crosses.

He was arguably best player on the pitch against Everton and has been great to end the season. But that doesn’t erase the fact he’s an erratic madman who is nowhere near consistent enough. He’s good but thinks too highly of himself and is therefore often looking for excuses.

Sure he has “passion” but for me, that passion is too often misplaced. Wasn’t he an architect of the fans vs players thing earlier in the season?

He’s not the most pressing sale to make and if DeZerbi likes him then I’ll back that. But my worry is he’s a bad influence on the rest of the team. I think one of our biggest downfalls this season was that the madmen Vicario, Romero and Porro were the “leaders”. I think that’s had a negative effect on the overall attitude of the squad.

I think his biggest issue is that for 2/3 years we have had no LB cover.

If Spence was actually available to rotate at RB, Porro could be used much more strategically, and more important catch a break every now and then.

He is the most over played player in the squad, its no surprise his form is erratic

In the right team, or against the right team, he is class

And he and Spence have really complementary skillsets to rotate, one more attacking, one more defensive...

Porro is the least of our issues imo

If you play Frank ball or Tudor ball and sit deep defending all the time, Porro is terrible . Really exposed and bad.

If you play like De Zerbi controlling the ball and the game, Porro is pretty good a pressing to nick the ball in duels and fucking elite at passing through the press.

Palinha behind him as well and Porro was never going to concede much down our right side under De Zerbi

Also not having Vicario in goal he is worse than David James was at dealing with crosses.

City linked to him again

"Man City have started contacts over signing Tottenham’s Pedro Porro, and possibly before the World Cup. The player and his club are both aware of Man City’s efforts, while Spurs do not want to lose the right-back and have set a £50M starting price."

Our players are shit though, remember

We should keep him. We start selling experienced players again and we are going to leave ourselves short.

If we have to sell a big player this summer it should be Romero.

I’d make it clear to City that Marmoush or someone of that ilk better be available in return. Make it painful, they probably will back off. Savinho is a player they now want out so not the same.

holy shit i'll drive him to the airport and pitch in some funds myself if i never have to see him overrun a press and get dribbled by like a a training cone or take the wrong angle on an incutting winger while he points and complains at everyone near him. the guy is a liability and a cancer in the locker room. get him out yesterday.
