Rated PEH when he first joined and thought he had a solid first season, since then the regression has been alarming, he can barely trap a fucking ball now.
Worse first touch I've seen on a pro.

I'd say get shot but what would be the fucking point? he's about 7th in the pecking order of players that need to go.

As per my 1st post; you can't play what you haven't got, but there are other formations and tactics available to give us a more competitive MF.

(As far as worst in the league goes; run down a comparrison to some of the other 6th choice MFs for me..... Comparing them to another teams 1st choice is false equivalence.... In fact, try it against their 9th or 10th cos I'd rather pick numerous 3man combo's from our squad ahead of that duo too.)

Im just going to try keep my point in its simplest form

If you are going to play 2 in midfield

You make sure they are good enough to do that system justice

These 2 get over run time and again regardless of opponent formation
 
I hate the way he stands there in that shoulders tense, arms down and palms outward 'who hasn't helped me out' pose as he loses the ball or has it taken from him. Over and over again. The oppo have got 20 yards on him by the time he snaps out of it.

Hobble him if he does it again, Antonio.

We only signed PEH last season, so lets not pretend them as a combo has been some long-term thorn in our side.

We don't play them by choice..... They are reserve players...... You're still acting like they're our go to combo.

Only last season! He came in August 2020 he has played near 180 games for us. I've checked , his arrival coincided with the lowest level of possession of a Spurs side for years.

Him in combination with ANYONE is a massive part of our decline. I think he is a bigger problem than Winks, Harry's total lack of physicality is obvious Hojbjerg's pointing and tattoos (as he is skipped past or hands over the ball again and again )go under the radar because all his gesture politics. He don't hide as much as Winks but he is actually quite cowardly his head drops and he is so off competing with elite centermids its a complete no contest.At this point I'd take Zokora Jenas David Howells or (and this is the fraud he most reminds me of) Steven Freud over him!

I don’t have to pretend that winks has been a fucking rhino sized thorn in our side for too long

And I’ve commented PEH limitations aren’t so pertinent as a 6

I appreciate they’re reserves… it’s just desperately frustrating watching them get regular game time . Reserves can often come in and play above themselves but for extended periods it’s the regression to their average … their average is costing us dear

Ok … sorry to be derivative here fix but I would follow Zomb …. Have Kulu the extra body … peh playing the 6 and Devine in there

Well in my defence I’ve criticised them as a pair and individually

But to qualify…. Winks for too long and peh since he’s been tasked with more than protecting the back line

Im not sure how long you need to see it fail to be certain it’s not good enough

I mean if you want me to agree with you I’m more than happy to do that …. Get the extra body in…

It doesn’t detract from my point that these 2 are not requisite quality to play as a 2

Errrrrr..... It's not good enough. I've not said otherwise and highlighted the flaw of them as a DUO in my first post.

Thankfully they are our 6th choice pairing; not 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc.

Conte said he considers the squad "more complete" since Jan, so it's up to him to play his hand (and that includes managing injuries!).

Fix…. I’m not sure where you wanted to take my comment which was very simple

If you want to expand it further and invest time and energy on culpability then be my guest but I’m going to repose on my original intent
 
Good defensively but very poor at playing out the back, or playing high up the pitch, Need better than this.
