Ex-Spurs Player Pierre-Emile Højbjerg

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

That is the very last thing I think Sissoko could be accused of.
Where does that come from Rocket? Hojbjerg a leader Sissoko lazy. It bared zero relationship with the truth. Both technically limited but Sissoko was quicker fitter and worked probably harder. People want to hide behind the image but oddly you can't compare the two of them in terms of relative 'success ' and conclude Hojbjerg was clearly superior. They were both not what we needed and there's little in it with inmho opinion the French man shading it. People can disagree all they like, but it's not the no brainer they want to pretend it is.

actually won a player of the year award at the club lol. he was respected.

There it is the weird myth that surrounds Sissoko is all a bit odd. He wasn't in anyway lazy and he was more influential for the club than Hojbjerg's pointing can ever aspire to. I think Hojbjerg is rated by people who never watched him live.

Where does what come from? I was just questioning the narrative of Sissoko being lazy. In my mind effort was exactly what Sissoko brought to the side above anything else he offered in terms of on field involvement.

I wasn't commenting on the ongoing discussion of Sissoko v Højbjerg. Both good, loyal servants for me.

That's my question. Where does the lazy narrative come from? I went home and away during a lot of his tenure, he did loads of shit drove me mad( setting of like the light brigade into seven players on a run that went nowhere!) But never lazy. It's simply a myth as was Hojbjerg 's leadership. To my mind leaders drive you on or dig in and help you see out big games when it matters. It's not about pointing or shouting Ledley King away at Man City to get that first ECL qualification sticks in my mind. He was utterly massive that night. I watched Carlos Tevez shake his head in disbelief after one block. I watched him give up.

Moussa got caught on camera taking it easy during a warm up on the sidelines once when on France duty and it just caught on for the rest of his career in England.

That being said he's far from the only player that takes it easy when warming up on the sidelines. But it seems to have stuck on him for far longer than it has on most.

He was a key part of a Spurs team that got to the CL final. He was like a dog chasing a balloon at times but he never had the brain farts that PEh had every game and his ability to defend in transitions made him a much better DM than PEH ever has been for us. Sissoko never went missing defensively or missed tackles, PEH did that all the time.

I don't even think it's up for debate, Sissoko was a much better player for Spurs and had a much better Spurs career.
yep that confirms it.
