Apparently Justin Edinburgh lived at the top of my road when I was a kid, not sure how true that is though and I never saw him.

Hull City player James Harper went to my Primary School. After one of the 2006 World Cup games me and some mates were having a drunken kickabout in a local park (kicking lumps out of each other) and we saw him running around the outside of the park (it would have been just before his first season in the premiership with Reading) we shouted over to see if he wanted to join our game, he wasn't up for it for some reason.

I've already posted this in the 'Introduce yourself' thread, but I guess it's more fitting here:

Whilst he was still Spurs manager, I arranged for Big MJ to do the opening of a new branch for my previous company. We carried out his removal for free as a trade off. Spent most of the afternoon with him, quality bloke and even had a cheeky fag with him. He told me that he didn't like Defoe because he was a lazy trainer, was a bit taken aback by that!

We also moved Michael Dawson and Calum Davenport who both signed my Spurs shirt. Although Dawson spelt my name 'Lees', the thick git.

Also met Ledley, when I went to a game as a guest of the match sponsor, luckily he was able to spell my difficult name correctly.

I've been fortunate to have met many a great and not so great footballers in my time: for example; George Best, Ossie Ardilles, Ricky Villa, Jimmy Greaves, Geoff Hurst, Steve Perryman, Jack Charlton, Ray Clemence, Peter Bennetti, 'chopper' Harris, Ian Wright, Sam Parkin, Bryan Robson, Gus Poyet,Pat Jennings, Stuart Pearce, Billy Paynter, Martin Chivers and Gordon Greer... and many more
The old timers and real famous ones I meet at conventions such as Memorabilia at the NEC, Stuart Pearce was at a concert I went to (The Fratellis) and a few others were whilst watching my towns team before they sold them to higher clubs..

(swear on my life) When I met Jack Charlton we had a long old chat about modern day football and he gave me and my dad Bobby Charltons HOME and WORK address saying " ha ha here you go, he wont like that, no he wont like that I've told you this at all, ha ha" but we lost the bit of paper before we could pay the old geezer a visit D:

Just like that memory because of the sibling rivalry between them and how Jack obviously thought he had gone one up on his brother

I was about 12, I met Teddy Sheringham, he had just left Spurs for Man U. Leaving a swimmin pool in High Beech walking back to Chingford me and my mate decided to take a shortcut across a golf course, fuck me if we didn't come across Teddy lining up a putt!! "Alright boys, up to mischief" he said! I almost fell flat on my face!! I was however slighly embarrassed as i had been dared to walk across the course with just a sock on my knob!!!!

When I played for Charltons Academy Gus Poyets son signed for the same team as me. So i met Gus quite a lot (he was assistant coach then) and my dad asked if he'd let me go in the players lounge after a game soon, but he got sacked about a month after. His missus told us about defoe coming back and all that.

Also, The Great Bill Nick used to park in the school by WHL every home game, he had an old blue hatchback, forgot the make. we used to say hello to him before every game, then we got him to sign the 61 home shirt.

I met Poyet at a football tournament playing against one his sons when I was younger, also met Hoddle at a tournament. He didnt pose for a photo though as he said everyone else would want one which is fair enough I suppose.

Sat in a box before the 4-4 draw against Leicester in the 03/04 season just before my dads wedding. Before the games met legends such as Jennings, Cliff Jones, Martin Peters. After the game they said the Man of the match would be coming in. It was Defoe and he was a top bloke chatting and posing for photos.

I was lucky enough to be asked to interview young forward Jon Obika on behalf of the COYS forum a couple of years back - he was a really nice guy, very quiet/shy and very modest.

We also got to interview John McDermott, the Academy Director - he was very open and honest, and almost seemed like a proud dad. At one point we were asking about Alex Inglethorpe - could he one day be Spurs manager, etc, and he was basically saying that because he's good at coaching young players doesn't mean that he'd be good at coaching the full team - and Inglethorpe walked in. Awkward.

Whilst waiting for the interviews Dean Parrett came over to ask something and John McD said "don't be rude, Dean, introduce yourself", so he goes "'ello, I'm Dean Parrett from the Spurs Academy" and shook our hands and offered us a cup of tea.

I've met Alan Gilzean quite a few times in my little home town of Weston-super-Mare as it's where he's lived for a while now. So when/if you read the book In Search of Alan Gilzean you now know where he is, in my basement, tied up and made to regale me of stories from yesteryear.

My kids are at the same school as William Gallas' kids, have spoken to him a few times.

It must be the school that the Woolwich kids go to, because RVP, Thierry Henry and Pires all have kids there too. My son is actually good mates with RVP's son, which sickens me.

This must mean you'd be able to get close enought to 'accidentally' injure Van Persie.

You know what you have to do..........

I played football against Joe Cole.

He was so good our manager complained that he had to be taken off at half time. I just wanted to fight him.

I played football with Glen Johnson, some random Millwall player +1 other that I don't know. I was around 18 at the time he was about 14. This was in Swanley - I gather he was from the area.

Anybody remember the England Football team/Gazza birthday uproar after a Hong Kong to Heathrow flight on Cathay Pacific????

This was all i could find:

Storm in a teacup, I was in business class with them and yes it was a little rowdy but nothing like the tabloids made out. Pretty fun 12hrs actually. Paul Scholes is a ginger cunt though.

I served Bale last year. It was just before they were going to pre-season in America and he wanted to talk about iPad sim cards. It was a really shitty busy day and I was doing something on a computer. This guy says ''scuse me mate'...I casually just said " yea, one minute fella..." as I finished I turned round and defiantly noticed the last words were a little higher than the start. Really sound guy, spoke to him for about 10 mins and felt like a big girl afterwards when I told my mates a bit red faced. Didn't bother saying I was a yid as there isn't much he coulda said back to that that wouldn't make me look like a cock. Better than my mate who met Mabbutt in a cafe and said "Your Gary Mabbut aren't you"...He was pretty sound by all accounts too.

Play sunday league in the same team as Lee Dixon's son, he came to watch today. Set up a goal with a Beckham like 30 yard pass over the defence. Holla.

I've now played whilst Ian Dowie, Dimitri Kahrine & Les Ferdinand have watched.
