Management Poch sacked

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Thank you Mauricio for a fabulous evening 5 years.Supported this club since 1970 and some of the football, especially last season at WHL was the best I have ever seen us play.Good luck in whatever job you take next.COYS!!!

Proper shame... where did it all go wrong for him? Burnley way when he 'lost it' ...or Wolves at Wembley?
Either way, getting us to the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL with 'apparently' the shower of shit we had at our disposal, was nothing short of miraculous...

Fuck me... where next?
Redknapp as interim??

Just hope he doesn’t ever go to another English team, couldn’t bring myself to hate him

Unless he goes to Arse or Chelski, we can't blame him. He showed loyalty to us when Madrid came knocking and we responded by sacking him during his first blip.

Most likely Utd will go all out for him and they will overtake us with Poch plus a hefty transfer budget. If that happens, we can't complain - we dug our own grave

Here's Levy's full statement since the club site has crashed:

"We were extremely reluctant to make this change and it is not a decision the Board has taken lightly, nor in haste," Spurs chairman Daniel Levy said it a team statement.

"Regrettably domestic results at the end of last season and beginning of this season have been extremely disappointing.
"It falls to the Board to make the difficult decisions -- this one made more so given the many memorable moments we have had with Mauricio and his coaching staff -- but we do so in the Club's best interests."
Just stop talking you bald cunt.

Gutted and didn't see this coming quite yet. Thought he may get a bit longer and possibly a chance to sort things out. I can't get into the official site to read their statement in full but from BBC I get the impression it was fairly mutual.
A sad day!

STUNNED!

I’m in shock. Going from a high 6 months ago to a low I haven’t felt as a Spurs supporter in years. The best manager we’ve had in my lifetime (Spurs fan since the early 90’s) and he got us playing consistently great football. The fact he didn’t win a trophy with us will go down as an absolute travesty. When my sons are watching with their children in 20 or so years from now, Poch probably won’t even register for them because in the end, he didn’t get us that trophy.

Despite what some think on here, I believe he had the deck stacked against him from the onset. With the stadium taking so long and so much money to build which resulted in minimal funds and Levy not wanting to loosen the purse strings, he didn’t stand a chance unfortuently. Let’s not forget the players. Some of these players have gone way down in my estimations. For all Eriksen has done, he should have been sacked.

I was really hoping Poch would be Tottenham’s Fergie or Wenger but it wasn’t meant to be. I wish him all the best, we wouldn’t be where we are without him.

I’m going to finish this off by saying one last thing: LEVY, you better have a replacement sorted right away, and he better be world class, because if you don’t, you should pack your own bags!

Why so many clueless fans think it was a good decision. Best manager we've had in a long time, made us punch well well above our weight. We are NOT going to find anyone better that's suitable. I think he's better then klopp as a coach but he was given money and support, yet poch wasn't.

Fuck sake here we go, into the circus.

It's as worrying as it is exciting, but I really hate to see Poch go. Top bloke and great manager, even if he has gone off the boil lately. We better have a plan for the rest of this season because we'll fucking need it.

Why would any big name come here and have no money to spend. Had we supported poch and then he failed, I'd understand the decision. But levy did everything but support him. Not saying poch was perfect. But he's the best manager for us in the way we run the squad. Levy should fucking take a look at himself. Cunt
Levy built a billion pound stadium that has set us up for the next 100 years financially
We also spent what? 140 million in the summer?
I hate to say it because I love the man but this is all due to Poch losing the dressing room, whilst employing awful tactics
