Bit OTT the titanic. 7th in premier league. If you said bury fc then i agree. Just need a new manager to steady ship. Push on then.

I'd agree that a new, quality manager would steady the ship and we could push on a little.

But with the team we have, there is no way we are serious contenders still. Instead of 7th, maybe we could have finished a few spots higher.

What about with Hakimi, Skriniar, Barella and Perisic?

Well, that's the point. Conte or any manager is going to be able to take this team only so far.

We are still a mess and the team needs a major overhaul, and we aren't as bad as we seemed at times last season, but it doesn't really make us good either.

I'm also not counting on Levy's willingness or ability to sign half those players let alone all four of them.

What I hope is that whichever manager comes in he shakes things up in a similar fashion to Poch. I remember the friendly in Toronto and he was clearly determining who fit his plans and who had to go. He made hard decisions and turned us into contenders.

I don’t really feel like that happened to the same extent with Mouninho. All he left me with was a vision of him driving around the training centre on a Segway, wearing a long purple jacket and what looked like tights. Maybe if Levy had let the most decorated coach in the last two decades do his job and coach the final...

But Inter are in financial ruin... clue: they all played for Conte at Inter.

It makes far too much sense to happen, I know

Yeah, I get that but I just don't know how it is going to happen. Based on everything we've seen and heard from Levy from the past few months is that we've taken a major financial hit like everyone else. I can't see major investment outside of whatever we get from player sales.

Sure, theoretically Conte isn't going to come without assurances of investment, but it's totally contrary to everything he has said so far. Inter need the money but they are only going to cut prices so far.

Don't have strong thoughts either way on if he'll sign or not. Would love him to, but don't have a feel for if he will or not. I do get the feeling that Levy feels his back to the wall, and will do a bit more than we expect in terms of sorting out money to back Conte if he signs with us. Rest of the top English clubs are fairly in the process of getting their shit together, or already do.

Looking at Sarri, the story of him joining Lazio is bubbling along with a week. No confirmation on Lage to Wolves yet. It doesn't have to happen in 2/3 days, sometimes these things take a bit of to and fro. Hopefully Levy doesn't fuck it up, it's a good job for Conte to take on if he's backed with 4 starters in the summer.

I'm watching sky sports news now and absolutely nothing on this, what are you on about?

Maybe Levy knows Poch ain't up to the last push? Maybe Levy knows more about what went wrong.
Maybe you need to get over Poch and see how he does elsewhere for a few years.

In every parallel universe in the multiverse Conte is the better hire for THFC now.
Maybe he should hire Conte then instead of pissing over the pot
