this is probably a good idea. Bad for us nerds on the board though.

This is actually a very good thing for Paratici to do. Shows real professionalism and always helps with deals if there's no media speculation that can get to either side,

I hope that extends to transfers too, helping them get done quickly. I think levy will mess this up, but if Paratici can keep him at bay it'll be a huge help in our overall processes and speed to finish deals.

Is this really anything different than before?

Regardless of all the chatter from the ITK's and the actual reporters, nothing was every publicly said about any candidates or the search itself ever from Hitchen, Levy, or anyone else in the organization.

This is simply following the existing policy.

It's Alan Pardew, isn't it?
:avbcringe:
what year is it GIF

I'm not talking about the ITK bullshit. It's more the Romano's and other actual journalists getting actual leaks out of either sides camp. You can look at the Poch and Conte situations. I think we're actually one of the worst teams with that, particularly in the transfer market.

Now, some of that is because Levy never allowed a deal to progress quickly, but I'm hoping that also changes here.

Yes, exactly. It was all speculation and lies, nothing was actually released from the club.

Theoretically, I think it is great. The reality is that I would expect the same amount of "leaks" as there usually is. If there are leaks from inside the organization to journalists, it's not going to come from Hitchen, Levy, or potentially Paratici. My guess is that it comes from someone else, either intentionally from the club or not.

Even if the club locks it down, there are always agents or other actors that will slip information to their contacts.

The club itself have barely even acknowledged the search publicly, so I expect nothing to change.

Just because nothing was released from the club (officially, there was tons of leaks from their side) doesn't mean it was speculation and lies.

This is something I find many fans don't get when it comes to reporters (real not fake ITKs on some fan site) that just because they report something and it doesn't come true doesn't mean it was a lie.

The Conte reports from the reliable guys were all likely true reports.

True, the hard thing is trying to determine how much of it or what was intentionally versus unintentionally leaked by the club. It seems that a few years ago Spurs cut back pretty heavily on any discussions or leaks by the club in regards to any types of transfers or organizational changes. On one hand, it probably significantly allows them to better control messaging and helpful in negotiations, but it also created a vacuum that allowed these worthless ITK's to really thrive.

If we really think about it, the only acknowledgement that we have had from anyone in the club about the process was Levy's chairman's letter. Now, are they likely using Gold and others to communicate certain aspects? Sure, but that hasn't exactly helped them out this window.

Has Paratici actually joined?
Or are people crediting things to a bloke who hasnt been near the club and is still hung over from his party?
Exactly, a couple people were theorizing that Paratici took over the process days ago. He isn't even signed on yet as far as we know, but he was already taking lead in negotiations.

It just shows how desperate we are for any kind of progress on this.
