He's been good the whole season.
He is being judged by some on goals alone, no doubt.

Not saying he is as good, but reminds me of Drogba early Chelsea days, got pellets and Mourinho had to defend him in the press for all he brought to them…

Hopefully another few drop his way and he shows his full worth, if Johnson didn’t finish our finish Big Bad Dom has a hat-trick today.

Pretending that the fact that we were utterly abysmal for the final 3/4s of the season doesn't matter because we were unusually good for the first 1/4 before the league sussed out our 1 trick pony manager with zero experience in a serious football league? I haven't picked out a chunk of poor form in that statement.

And the statement was made in the context of Ange having to prove he's better than that final 3/4s of last season, and climb above Villa thus the importance of today's match.

It doesn't appear at this point he is capable of it. We're currently 4-1-4, basically the exact same form from that final 3/4s, and losing at home to Villa - the club we needed to climb above to show improvement.

I'm not putting any emphasis on what we accomplished Aug-Oct 2023, because I haven't seen any indication this squad with this manager is capable of replicating that form. I've seen a lot of indication that all this squad with this manager is capable of is what we've seen from Oct 2023-Oct 2024. A full calendar year of football isn't "cherry picking" results to fit a narrative.

Hindsight is a beautiful thing, ain't it.

It was defo legitimate to question that sub, when Son was starting to get into his groove.

That assist saved Richy's short cameo, he was useless prior to that...as he's been most of his Spurs career. And wow, he went off injured and now likely to be out for weeks...as he's been most of his Spurs career.
Wasn't a hindsight though TBH. How about just watch until the final whistle blew? People were so quick to jump on the bandwagon slagging Ange. Now tell me what's the final score after 90 minutes?

And Richy went off injured too soon, which was unfortunate. Yet how do people assume he couldn't have contributed more goals or even score some himself? Honestly it's really embarrassing how people discredit him before he even played. The assist he provided was done quicker than Son, how was he poor in that sense? He was running his socks off and trying to defend the left side too, which Son has some limitation to.

Furthermore Ange was managing Son to get more out of him over a longer period of time. Without doing that, he's going to get flaks again from the haters saying he's running Son to the ground, like some people have already done so in blaming Ange for wrecking VdV. Good grief. Imagine Citeh won and VdV was injury-free. Worth it?

Villa had injured players today and they lost, badly. I know at which side of the result I wanna be while having the same circumstances. Honestly it's a no-brainer if it was even an option.
