Winning today was great. If you'd followed the conversation you would have understood that my comments were in the context of today being a must win match, because I've made the point several times that to earn a 3rd season, Ange really has to finish above Villa, at minimum, this season and show reason to believe he can push on and improve rather than continue the poor form from the past calendar year.
But it's not as though today's match is an "ah ha" moment that proves we're on the right track. We're still a week removed from losing to Palace. We have to consistently deliver good results and get off the roller coaster we've been on for a year.
Very happy. Need to win mid-week and next weekend, that will ease some pressure before the looming City match after the break. Hopefully we're fully fit for that one.
And I'm also one of the few Ange critics who raised my hand (literally the Moaninho smiley) and said he got it right in the 2nd half.
