Tbh.. i'de out the whole defence and start from scratch
Romero and vdv sales would free up enough cash for a rebuild .. and a season looking at lower lge talent would be good .. and trust me theres enuf out there, it's just a shame clubs are so fucking anal about buying them. Remember we bought mabbut Roberts from lower lgs. And gykores at the arse wipes was in the lower lgs not so long ago...

The money generated from players sales will not be used for a rebuild... it will be used to service debt and plug the huge hole from PL and commercial revenue.

Where the F*** is the belief that we will turn it around.

In germany Schalke 04 and Hamburg in recent times.

Schalke had a modern stadium since early 2000s played european football regulary and won the german cup a few times. Also they were 4 minutes away from winning the league in 2001 I think.
Mismanagement on the highest scale always changing managers bad recruitment etc

And they were more than ok financialy they had a sponsorship by Gazprom and the most loyal supporters in germany.
It looks like they will be back in the Bundesliga next season.

There are a lot of examples like Schalke when you think about it and I am worried that we are heading in that direction. Even if we dont go down this season unless there are drastic fundamental changes in this club we could be fighting Relegation for a few seasons before finally going down.

The easiest solution would be a change of ownership of course but I really can't see that happening anytime soon.

In the summer lange vinai and a few others in the club who are responsible for our Situation need to go and we can't fuck up the next choice of manager. That’s before talking players...

It’s a painful rebuild
Nothing compares to leaving prem lge millions for championship pennies. There will be losses on sponsorships as it’s linked to being premier lge. Try charging £90 to watch Preston.

We have medium to long term contracts with many on our current squad.

Now if some of those such as Micky, Romero, Vic, Xavi, Kulu and the like want to move on (likely they will) then any club will have to cough up our asking price.

The youngsters will I believe want to stay, a new manager will have a lot to say on this, and let's face it if this shitshow that may have took us down want out, is that so bad?

If they don't have a fight in them to keep us up, what makes anyone think they have the fight for getting us back up?
The players on big wages, which you named, will be gone without a doubt.

The quoted was specifically regarding Vuskovic’s future, which I think we hold leverage and I don’t necessarily think he will be throwing a fit if he’s not allowed to leave. He’s already said he’d like another year at Hamburg who are relegation level.

Is it?
Given our injuries and how we're playing, how many points do you think we get from the remaining fixtures and more importantly, looking forward do we get 4 more points than West Ham and/or 2 more points than Forest?
I think it's going to be close.
West Ham would need 5 points to catch us (as things stand), because of our superior goal difference. But at the rate we're going, that could dissolve fairly soon.

Because of personal reasons. His agent and Bayern's mouthpiece, Pletti, are also drumming up noise there. He has no allegiance to us.
I very much doubt the best rated CB in the Bundesliga is going to gladly come to the championship and be happy enough.

Not something anyone wants, but we have to be real.

Yeah - if Bayern come and offer us a record breaking fee for a teenager as we go down then he’s off for sure.

I just don’t believe he will be a bad apple if that offer doesn’t come this summer.

People said the same thing when the Should Frank be Sacked thread went up.

I am not dismissing the idea of relegau tion but saying that absolutely nobody has an idea what any such squad would look like, and quite honestly it's wasted energy in my opinion.

We are not yet 18th, have, on paper an easier run-in than West Ham, 4 points and a better goal difference.

I am focussed on survival- period.

Then, what I want to see. What we should all demand is something infinitely more coherent off and on the field.
