That does not look anywhere near good enough.Kinsky
Spence Danso Philips Souza
Moore Bergy Gray Solomon
Lankshear Scarlett
Austin
Several new signings.
Suggestions ??That does not look anywhere near good enough.
I would suspect a new keeper, and we need better forwards than that, Lankshear just looks average in Championship and Scarlett has flopped in SPL. They would not be starters if we were serious about bouncing back immediately.
That midfield looks way too lightweight also, championship much more physical league, they will get run over.
Christ, did the state of that starting XI not already do that???It’s the “ Several new signings “ bit that doesn’t fill me with confidence, if I’m being completely honest.
Yeah, Vuskovic ain't playing for us in the PL let alone the Championship. Can also see Gray and Bergvall leaving as they are young players on the up (a season in the Championship is not what they need at this stage of their careers regardless of their contract position)... if we can find a buyer or loan for Gallagher then he is definitely leaving. I think Madders will have PL offers (he started his career at Coventry so that might be one) and Deki is the captain of Sweden so if fit I doubt he wants to slog around the Championship and before anyone says it, just because they have been injured for a year, doesn't mean they owe us. Players are selfish cunts and will do what is best for them, not their parent club.Need to try to keep our talented players Gray, Bergvall, Vuskovic, Phillips, Lankshear, Moore, LWB, Thompson, Olusesi, Souza, Byfield, Devine and Odobert.
Then I would try to hold on to some senior players like Davies, Solanke, Maddison, Kulusevski and Danso, who could I imagine to be captain. Maybe even keep Gallagher if he is fully on board. Then add a few mroe who can lead and fight with experience, and some talented boys with creativity and goal scoring abilities who are just one step away to Premier League football. Need to find our Ezes and Olises.
So it could look like:
GK: New + Austin, Kinsky
CB: Danso, Vuskovic, Phillips, Byfield, Davies, New (Takai maybe)
RB: New + New (Spence maybe)
LB: Souza + New
CM: Gray, Bergvall, Olusesi, Devine, New, New (Gallagher maybe)
AM: Odobert, Maddison, Kulusevski, Thompson, Moore, LWB, New, New
ST: Solanke, Lankshear, New
30 players squad, needed in this tough league especially with our fitness worries.
But pretty sure we could not keep everyone that I would hope we do.
we aren't up for the fight... have you not been watching... week in week out capitulation... i've seen more fight in an out of date yoghurtGet a fucking grip with this thread. Still 6 games to go! Do everything you can to get behind the team, influence the referees and swing the momentum our way!
This thread and a lot of the defeatist attitude on here is the same nonsense we see from our players on the pitch every weekend. Everyone just given up and accepting that we have no luck and aren't up for the fight.
IF we do get relegated then open up this thread and have all the fun you like talking about the big player clearout. But in the meantime this is all totally hypothetical and and just adds to the current wave of negativity that has absorbed itself into the club. I'd encourage everyone on here to just focus on the next game and cheer on the team as much as possible. Give out about the refs. Get outraged, get angry, get frustrated, but don't give up. Don't accept defeat, don't start planning for the championship. Its too early. We can still survive this but we all need to show some fight and hopefully that'll transfer onto the players! We can't have fans going to the games already given up.
Yep.we aren't up for the fight... have you not been watching... week in week out capitulation... i've seen more fight in an out of date yoghurt
And still they are contracted to us. Some may be able to force their way out, but I am sure some will just be forced to stay and clean the mess. Maybe Vuskovic stays one more year at Hamburg. We just won't have 20 new players. Not happening.Yeah, Vuskovic ain't playing for us in the PL let alone the Championship. What is typed on a message board means bugger all. What does matter is we have a team that cant pass, cant score more than 1 goal a game and dont keep clean sheets. This isn't just an iffy patch of form we can dig ourselves out of, it started 2 years ago and fans are worn down. Its just realism. If we can get out of it then great, but given there is zero evidence of that happening then there is going to be specualtion of what comes next. The fans were great against Forest and probably will be tomorrow.Get a fucking grip with this thread. Still 6 games to go! I get you mate. I just want no stone left unturned. We're hanging on a cliff edge right now! Every inch matters and any small thing could swing the momentum back in our direction. This season has been beyond unacceptable and an absolute joke across the board but we can save the biopsy until after the season is done. These next 6 games will define the future of this club for the rest of our lifetime. What is typed on a message board means bugger all. The only saving grace from getting relegated is that this squad is torn up and thrown into the sea. And hopefully burned with fire for good measure.
