Match PSG v Tottenham Hotspur Wednesday 8pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

This is the sort of match, when everything seems on the brink, where we usually put in a miracle performance to reel everyone back in for the next punch to the gut.

Not a bad throw of the dice at 7/1.

Will be lucky if we get anything out of this game.

One of the best teams in Europe, up against a mess of team, with it's defence being it's strongest part of the squad..

Not really fussed how we play or result.

It's going to be very tough for us, so anything other than a loss, is a bonus.

Not a fucking hope. If it was city maybe, but this lot are REALLY fucking good. Any little spursy upsurge will be countered by their being stupidly good at football.

And yeah I know we did alright in pre season when they hadn’t had one.. they’re in gear now .

We are getting totally utterly humiliated. This run of fixtures may well build the narrative that Frank is a level above his comfort zone. And in the modern world once set narratives stick. Levy went very heavy on him and his back room because he got that 17th was not acceptable and 12- 6th is Frank's wheelhouse. Levy chose Frank to minimise the kind of risk Postecoglou exposed us too.

Then the family power play ejects Levy and leaves Frank exposed as 'his man' he is an effective fire wall for the Lewis's. They clearly understand how to play to the fans its why Pochettino return is imho more likely post Levy and is a quick win for them.

People like to say Poch and Levy were a pair its not true. They patched things up but that relationship had truly soured, Pochettino was as frustrated with him as us, and always remember he isn't a Levy masterstroke at all Levy WANTED Louis Van Gal he picked him over Pochettino. Van gal messed him about and he had to go back to Poch. I think no Levy makes Pochettino more likely to want in. If things go bad the Lewis's will reach for the romantic return you watch. I say this as someone who wanted and wants Iraola. I actually dreamed we won a NLD against Leggo man under Iraola....

This will be nothing like the Super Cup game. They had 2 training sessions before they played us and for 75 mins it showed... they are now in full flow and the score will largely depend on when the first goal is scored. If they get it early, the doubts will creep in and this will be a car crash. If we can keep them at bay for 30 mins we might get away with a three or four nil. It's a sign of the times that I would take that right now so we can avoid a real drubbing. Sad times.

Well, this has started well. Elizabeth line to Liverpool Street delayed by 45 minutes, broke a nail and Eurostar also delayed by at least an hour. Can't get a seat in the waiting area and being teased incessantly by Newcastle supporters on their way to Marseilles. And the Wi-Fi is crap.
Surely it can only get better??

You are an absolute stalwart Mrs P.

I just hope you are rewarded for your support, notwithstanding the cost.

Fans like you deserve better than what is beung dished-up, regardless of the need to recognise a big rebuilding job is obviously in train.

In fairness; whilst we were all over the moon to qualify for the Champions League despite our
“lowly “ League position; nobody was expecting us to win it . Rather it was all about the extra income ( direct and indirect) , the prestige and the possibility of attracting/ retaining a higher class of players .

We’ll just have to suck it up and hope that those going over will enjoy a few days in a beautiful city that’s only a few hours away by train . ( A lot longer by car it must be said ) .

I see it like the arguments for letting Italy into the Rugby 5 -Nations ;by playing against higher quality opposition the team will eventually and over many years actually improve
( despite the inevitable drubbings and mis-matches along the way ) .

We’re not quite ready to threaten PSG in Paris ; but as Del Boy used to say … “ We’ll get there Rodney , we’ll get there “ …..

Yes to much of this. Iraola who knows.

You absolutely know Emery would not struggle with the demand. Other managers who have never been under the microscope, who can say.

I think Frank is getting a bit undone, but that can happen and he can still recover

But once we lose to PSG. I think it's the real test.

We may get a bit of insight into what has happened since the debacle of yesterday, tomorrow, but words are cheap, in the same way they were all last week, with various posters talking of 'sensing we will win'

Means zip because words are just that - words.
