I really like the setup, the 442 has allowed us to be super compact defensively but has given us something to work with up top with both Richy and Muani asked to provide some hold up. It's a shame we found ourselves in some promising wide positions with players who clearly aren't that comfortable there, but the goal was absolutely text book for the kind of goal that Frank would have hoped we could create.

Also just as an aside, seeing a team play a proper 2 centre forward setup is so refreshing, it's a real throwback. Enjoying it a lot.
 
Ruined a very decent half, where we allowed PSG very little, with the same dogshit passive defending on the edge of the box that's constantly biting us on the arse.

You would have thought Frank would have been working on this night and day - and also you that players themselves would be more switched on to this - we had 5 defenders and 4 CM's out there FFS, and they're all just stood around watching.

I'm quite fond of Lucas, think he deserves to be playing much more often.

I'm still not sure quite what his best role in the side is though. He's a bit of everything without really excelling in one aspect. Would love to see him work on his passing as a more creative CM.
 
I think a big difference about playing in Europe is that the Ref doesn't automatically hate us and side with the opposition like most Premier League refs do.


I was actually sitting there shocked because I'd forgotten that refs were allowed to give fouls against us.......

Whatever, it was a lovely strike with power. As others have said, we play in a way that leaves those gaps often, that’s a seperate thing.

If we have Palinha he’s likely right there blocking that, but we had a freshness of youth, which means more gaps.
 
Very encouraging half. Great commitment. Lovely goal from a move Bregs and Gray seem to have mastered.

Aerial Duels won 10 - 4. That is the complete opposite of Chavs and Scum games. Frank will love that.
