Match PSG v Tottenham Hotspur Wednesday 8pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Bet you had a good time...
I went to watch Spurs. :frankfacepalm:

Have to say I thought their ground was very basic. Metal seats that wouldn’t stay up, a basic concourse, great support from our fans.
However, next to their fans who had a clown with a microphone with his back to the pitch, yelling all night and piped in drum sounds. Synchronised bouncing and choreographed chanting. Felt like a game show, not my scene.

I could hear all that crap on tv...awful...sounded more like an NFL game....

If anyone is interested , I got home at 6 this morning.

Went to bed, woke up at 1. pm.

Been fucked ever since.

Fine line between fake loud atmosphere and doing fuck all and ending up with nothing tbh,

Vitinha unloved and unwanted at Wolves n 2021 before moving to PSG in 2022 aged about 22 (he's now 25),

Maybe a morale there saying don't judge young players as they may dramatically improve over time : not true for all of course as some plateau at younger ages and never seem to make dramatic improvements later
Do you know the Lionel Messi Vitinha story? Apparently ( disclaimer who knows) Messi told him... " Not only are you shit, you are in my way. " Kid was devastated and for a time wanted to leave PSG. Sliding doors. Now the lesson for me is the boys character one but also if you risk money on young players always go for the technically excellent ones. The rest can be learned. Pure ability has to be close to top of the metrics.

Vitinha has said that never happened. I do agree about technical excellence though.

My thoughts exactly, I don't think any team likes it when the opposition go at them. As long as there is the proper structure to cope with a turnover situation, playing with intensity will always result in a good few opportunities. we are so immobile at times it really annoys me. I'd go as far as to say if we had approached the NLD with that attitude and team starting, we could easily have got a draw from the game. It's time we used Gray more as well, I really think the kid has something special about him.
Thanks, I rarely go into detail post match but this one honestly confused the fukk out of me - Kolo has made an impression.

I agree with you regarding our intensity, we really showed that & cohesion but with games I never get giddy this has to be consistent in ALL games & I don't like to comment on the NLD as to me even thinking of it will bring the effing n jeffin to a point I had to mute myself when I was on watchalong as I didn't want to get my friends channel cancelled :)

Worth remembering that PSG beat Manchester City, Liverpool, Aston Villa and Woolwich last season with much the same squad to win CL in May.

So don't understand some posters view that we should have won - sure a number of poor individual errors from the likes of Romero, Bentancur and Sarr but PSG were fortunate to be level at HT and we were probably better overall for the first hour.

So its nothing like our performance last Sunday - and its just lazy or agenda driven to conflate the 2 matches

Looking at our season so far, and where we need to move from and to, i would ask which of those aforementioned clubs would Romero, Bentancur and Sarr get a start at?

Possibly Romero?

Our inconsistency comes from inconsistent players, and that's why they play for Spurs and not any of the perennial "top four".

Frank will change the squad, and he realizes the limitations of the quality of players that he has inherited something that a manager cannot always see by playing the opposition twice a season when he was at Brentford.

Obvious that some of the squad are indeed just that, squad players and not automatic starters, this is the reason why firing him just makes no sense whatsoever.

It's clearly not nonsense when your own post shows we scored more goals with a higher xg than our last game.
We had 3 shots against arse, with a 0.07 xg and the only goal we scored was a freak goal.
We had had 11 last night and scored 3 great team goals.
More shots. More Xg. More goals.

We limited PSG last night to long range shots.
And let them all in.
Most matches none go in. Last night, 3 went in.
I swear you get into his with every match man.

Do you just copy and paste replies???

I'm not knocking you but yknow you don't have to reply to them every time haha!
