Match PSG v Tottenham Hotspur Wednesday 8pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

My final thoughts on yesterday, as getting close to St Pancras.
Their stadium reminded me a little bit of WHL in that itis nice and compact, built for watching football. Although I was quite high up in the upper tier, I didn't feel that I was too far away from the action, I could see the build up clearly but could see who the players were. Don't know how our supporters found their view, being on a corner.
The PSG Ultras definitely make themselves heard, but I do wonder what it's like when one of the bottom teams in their league come to Paris, or if they weren't so successful.
I have to admit, I really enjoyed Paris once I got the hang of the Metro , thank goodness for Google maps. I was worried about the language barrier, but everywhere I went, most people spoke English so didn't have to use my translator tool at all
Food was great and my hotel was quirky but conveniently located in L'Opera area near a Metro station.
Only downside was the weather, apart from yesterday, it rained a lot.
Went to The Louvre this morning, packed but got to see quite a bit in three hours.
My feet are killing me now so rest day tomorrow, to recover for Saturday.

Until xg is counted to turn a game into a victory, I find it irrelevant and a tad boring.
I get that people enjoy the statistical side of the game, but personally I think it's just a load of nonsense, made up to give pundits a job.

I never look at XG as anything than an exercise in talking points in the media.

Team selection, player injuries and formations will make a difference.

For arguments sake, if Solanke, Maddison and Kulu were all available would our XG improve?

When XG becomes part of allocated points for a win, draw (and could be a positive over the opposition in a loss), i don't really give a shit.

Paris is the most romantic city in the world ; glad you enjoyed it !

A warm salty foot-bath once you get home and all will be enchanté.

It's clearly not nonsense when your own post shows we scored more goals with a higher xg than our last game.
We had 3 shots against arse, with a 0.07 xg and the only goal we scored was a freak goal.
We had had 11 last night and scored 3 great team goals.
More shots. More Xg. More goals.

We limited PSG last night to long range shots.
And let them all in.
Most matches none go in. Last night, 3 went in.
My post, in your dreams.

Well done Mrs P. Absolutely love Paris, we go for a couple of days each June for a ceremony there.
Hope to make the Prague game if any TFC's are about in the normal spot.

That one doesn't count apparently. So you 're not allowed to enjoy it.:ange-bored2:

Kane is the best striker in the world but have to say from last season to now Vitinha might be the best footballer in the world. I’d have said that if he never scored a goal ever, his passing and control of the game is crazy but to now add goals to his game is nuts. Like Modric 2.0. He just dominates the midfield in every way.
100%

Didn't say they were shit Jimmy... just said they are not the best in Europe right now... that is my opinion and the beauty about opinions is that they can never be defeated... Bayern beat them in Paris and Woolwich just beat Bayern pretty easy. I think a few teams are better right now. Come May, who knows... but right now I wouldn't back them over two legs against Woolwich.
And we beat Woolwich in pre season sooooo
It’s fucking spurs yes!!

Likely that at some point both will meet Woolwich, but for my money PSG are streets ahead.

Looking at the current PL and the form Scouse and City is no barometer of the quality of Woolwich.

My main worry is that PSG are overly reliant on Vitinha. If they don't have him available to face another top team they very well might lose. If he's available though I'd put PSG ahead of Woolwich midfield. I had thoughts yesterday they might meet in the final as well. Seems like theres a very good chance.
