Hey All,

This was a legit question I was asked by a Spurs fan who started following Spurs in the late 2000's

My first question was have you seen the last managers in the last 40yrs? no neither have I - I would say he's the first manager to get a European Cup but you can't take away the complete disaster these last two seasons were! So even IF he gets the cup no I wouldn't say so in the slightest...

Just to read the room - thoughts on this?

Last season wasn't a disaster. He went into the season without Harry Kane and no replacement striker, replaced the 3 at the back defensive system. And still managed 5th.

This season we got to a semi, and in QF in Europe. The league has been god awful, but with the injuries we had to choose between league and cups, we couldn't compete in both. Ange is a winner, hes not interested in competing for the top 6 'trophy'.

Bergvall, Sarr, VDV will be worldclass players in the next 3 years. Grey and Kinsky excellent young players. He's turned Spence's career around.

Next season we have Vuskovic, Danso - which should resolve our CB problems.

Ange is building something special, and to abandon it now would be madness.

If he wins Europa it doesn't make him our best coach in 40 years - but it does mean he has the qualities to do what many others haven't - win, and not compromise on top 4 being the only achievement that matters.

Why has he not adapted his system, made slight changes ? we get exposed at right back So why not change slightly ?
you go to a new job or place of work and you have to change the way you work or treat the staff, SO why has he not changed

He would be the most successful. Certainly not the best.

I'm sure 'successful' is a matter of opinion, which I get. I'm just talking in terms of actual silverware.

Ramos was more successful than Pochettino. Harsh but true.

It's objectively true I guess.

It's looking a big "if" right now but if he does it then he has taken the team through a total rebuild and come out the other side with a trophy and Champions League football next season.

The Poch team and the Redknapp team were both a better watch but being hard on them neither of them won anything when they had fantastic players to work with. They both had some genuinely world class players but couldn't bring home silverware. Ramos won the League Cup with the team Jol created then destroyed it in a matter of weeks.

This bloke was brought in by Levy to do a specific job - to play attacking, high-tempo, steam-rollering football. Postecoglou did precisely what his boss employed him to do - nothing more, nothing less.
The problems arose when other teams quickly sussed us out, coupled with the number of injuries created by this system being played at this level.
Now, 18 months on, it's all gone completely tits up. The experiment has failed and we're in a worse footballing position than we've been in for many years.
Nice try, but the sooner we get a new manager the better. This situation is no good for anyone associated with the club.

Give him his pay-off and let's move on.

I didn't like AVB but I have only wanted 2 managers sacked before, George Graham and Ramos. I am coming round to this view though because the bad feelings have started to transfer to the players now.

If there is belief that the system works, then the logic is that it is better the players practice and get better at it, rather than revert to a way of playing that is consistent, but won't win you anything.

We have seen, even this season, that when we get into our stride we look unbeatable. However, lapses in concentration and player mistakes has consistently let us down. This can be expected of our young and inexperienced players - but we have been let down by the senior players Bissouma, Werner, Madison, Richarlison and Romero who haven't played at the level they are capable of.

If we give Ange his 4 years, we will win trophies with this squad.

Sack him and bring in yet another Mourinho/Conte type......and the likes of Gray, Bergvall, Moore, Vuskovik, Yang will never kick a ball for 2 years.

I still can’t decide if you’re a massive troll, or just genuinely ill.

No way. First it’s a very weak Europa league this year. We actually should almost walk it but we won’t. Second the league performance is so abysmal that even if we won the champions league I wouldn’t want this cunt managing us next season. Third he is a cunt.

He's like the French Resistance, keeping the fight alive in enemy territory while Ange is now De Gaulle all alone as the government in exile.

It’s just absolutely ridiculous, I genuinely think he’s either talked to Ange, doesn’t actually watch us play, or as I say is just unfortunately ill.

Every single thing that he says is demonstrably nonsense, visible by simply watching us play. There’s a lot on here who spent the year mocking others for not backing a clearly not up to the task manager, but at least they are now going off the evidence in front of them and pointing out that he clearly isn’t good enough, even if it also requires a lot of distraction to pull people away from crap they said all season long.

This chap is just talking absolute nonsense and would see us relegated.

Do you think recent performances are like earlier in the season? We only conceded once against Chelsea and last time it was 4. Problem was we could not score but got 3 last time. Spence showed how the RB position should be played.

Eintracht are 3rd in their league table and are not very weak. They are beatable but let’s not write them off as weak.
