Is every fucking player thread going to bumped because the players say thanks and good luck to the sacked manager?

Fuck me, has nobody seen a manager get sacked before? This is what happens every time.

Sackings of managers goes on all the time - agreed

What is seemingly unparalleled is the number of players who have given Ange a simple 'thanks' (as Dragusin has) through to a more fulsome thanks and praise etc often up to 5 times the length of your post. I'd guess well over 75% of first team squad so far

That certainly has not happened before - Conte had zero thanks, perhaps because he had thrown players under a bus too often even when it was for a mistake that was clearly Conte's.

2 things can be true (or not mutually exclusive).........

They can be grateful for the high of the cup win whilst still not being ready to mutiny over Ange's exit..........

Similarly they can have liked him personally; but not rated him professionally.

Pretty sure there wouldn't have been the same outpouring if we hadn't won that final.

I'm not suggesting mutiny, although some rumours that Ange leaving may mean Romero wants to go.

I've written elsewhere for most players winning EL is a major thing on their cv - most players never win big competitions - so no surprise the players feel gratitude to Ange.

I know... I'm just referencing the broader narrative that has been peddled about all the tweets,

Romero has made noises regarding both sides of the coin before the cup win........ Also pulling out the cliche'd complaint about the wife not liking the weather.

Pretty convinced that if he leaves it's got little to do with Ange.... Also not convinced that anyone will offer fair value for him.

Indeed.

Radu in a set defence which isn't always defending at the halfway line or pulled into full back areas might actually be pretty useful. Would be cool if he gets a bit of confidence under the new manager.

When I was a manager (non-sports), I'm sure the staff had great things to say about me after I was gone. Then again, I can't be sure because I wasn't invited to the party. :)

I think the mutiny talk is a bit of projection from the Ange In crowd based on what they quietly want to happen. For some of the fanbase the past season or so has mostly become about supporting Ange over the club so they’re hoping the players feel the same too.

Tottenham Hotspur are expected to keep hold of one of their senior centre-backs this summer, judging by his agent's comments.

Dragusin's agent saying he expects Radu to be back playing in August - so just before or just after PL season starts.
