Yeah, I was just going by the commentators but I think you are right generally. The medical team should be able to determine a possible ACL and stop the player going back on.

I've never known anything like this season. It's like an elaborate hoax on us all.
He needs to eat what Vicario is eating to come back earlier than expected, hopefully at least can participate in pre season.
Our fanbase is way too harsh on him. He's playing in the worst system possible for him, and has been playing every 3 days for about 2 months.
I don’t necessarily agree with what they did. However, I’ve done an ACL before and finished the game (Australian Football). I knew something wasn’t right but it’s not necessarily “painful” to the point you can’t move/run. Still super sad though. Recovery sucks
It's contagious, too. My dog nearly tore his ACL two weeks ago. The vet said it wouldn't require surgery, but it was still a nervy couple of days as he could hardly walk.
Why couldn't the vet walk?
5-6 months out , that means this season is finished for him ...22 matches played in a row in many competitions in just 3 months ...too much for a player in a high intensity league ,probably the hardest one from Europe ? 7-8 players of Spurs were constant out with injuries with months...and that without to put in consideration his matches for the national team where it was starter ( another 6 matches in Nations League in autumn of 2024)
This injury makes me sooo disappointed with Romero. Wtf took him so long to recover for us..
Hope he gets well soon, we'll need him for a dog of the match in the run-in!
