Yeah, I was just going by the commentators but I think you are right generally. The medical team should be able to determine a possible ACL and stop the player going back on.
The only mitigation would be if it was a partial tear rather than a full rupture.

A full rupture should be easy to ascertain on the pitch by testing the stability of the joint with your hands clasped around his leg just below the knee and testing for any movement back and forth.
 
I'm not saying its the cause because there are a bunch of things that can lead to it, but fatigue can be a contributing factor as well.

You can't rule out the load his body has been under. He's also had to play with ankle knocks which can cause him to move defensively, favouring one side over the other.

Truth is we don't know but the fact they saved a reported 5m euros by not pulling the trigger on Danso sooner, it's not a great look. Even if they were on this mythical Guehi chase.

The way Radu reacted suggested a serious knee injury. Wouldn't the physios suspect an ACL as a possibility? Bear in mind Radu was clear he was done.
