Remember going to Sunderland away and lee Mason gave them 3 penalties. 1 of them definitely was but the other 2 were ridiculous. Completely out of his depth Mason was that match.
Once the gambling interests are involved, everything will be bled dry for them. They will own the politicians and everyone else because their business is printing so much money it's nothing to them. Corrupting the events on the pitch would be childs play and nothing to them.
I listened to a pod some time back describing how these gaming corps identify and prey on the addicts in their apps, eventually calling them by phone pressuring them to bet, offering them tailored bonuses to get them to bet more, plying them with tickets to games and sending them gifts. One story of these commissioned sales types even turning up at the gambler's house. That was in America but the taste for gamblers' money is not limited by geography.
Gambling shouldn't be legal in my opinion. It's the most dangerous and life destroying product on sale anywhere.
