Rules Referees & Impartiality: Can this be delivered on a consistent basis?

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The league is bent and it’s time the club showed the spine to call it out. Either that or fans need to start walking out on dodgy decisions.

Sky didn’t deserve those Spurs fans, neither did the PL. The stadium should’ve just emptied after the 2-2 disallowed goal
The club has none. ENIC are now the next cowards after Frank was fired. The few hundred thousands of fine is not worth it for them to fight the cause. We deserve all sorts of ridicule because the club has over the years allowed it to.

It’s a load of bollocks.

Agreed -

This is just a psychological reaction to losing - scanning for reasons - so bias is up there.

We havent had any pens this season because we don't play football in the opposition's box - that is it.

We also kicked the shit out of Chelsea, more so in the end, anddidnt get punished for it by Clattenberg.

The amount of time some folks spend thinking, talking, writingabout spurs, I'm not surprised some get carried away with shit like this

This angle tells the story. Gabriel knows 2 things:

1. He’s out of position to stop Muani (again btw). So he’s not even looking at the ball, he’s taking him out.

2. He’s going to get away with it

People will do everything they can to deny this because it’s easier to blame the players than face the uncomfortable truth that refereeing decisions could possibly repeatedly and unfairly go against us and It’s more convenient to call it bad luck or incompetence than acknowledge a pattern that keeps resurfacing.

There’s a clear reluctance to accept that bias conscious or not can exist and instead supporters are conditioned to doubt what they’re seeing...what makes it worse is the lack of accountability and silence from the club, which only allows it to continue without any sort of scrutiny.

Easier to call everyone nutjobs and conspiracy theorists though, best way to disarm someone's argument and not actually tackle the points is by calling them crazy and totally ignore the evidence even if it's blatant.

Remember when they didn't give this one lol

Gas lighting is a very successful tactic, unfortunately.

And absolutely the club are cowards and I don’t really understand what they have to lose by calling it out. It’s not like they can get even more fucked over on it.

The club should come out with every decision that’s gone against us this season and make a big thing about it. But they won’t because the lack of leadership comes from the top.

It doesn’t excuse how shit we are and have been, but there’s so many decisions that have not gone our way. Forever. But especially this year.

We are Spurs, we’re conditioned to accept the narrative that bad luck just happens to this club and we’re expected to quietly move on every time without questioning it. It’s normalised as being 'Spursy' and the club just roll over because they are happy to exist to compete in the Premier League, been happening for years.

It’s boring now. I was scrolling on my phone after the Muani goal was disallowed. Struggling to stay interested…. In a NLD…

The stadium and players were the same. In the past, the injustice of it would have got everyone fired up but it’s happening too often for that to be the reaction anymore.

We havent had any pens this season because we don't play football in the opposition's box - that is it.

Explain the 2 seconds under Ange then when we only managed to get 6 penalties. Ange's first season we recorded the 4th most touches in the box and we were given 2 penalties which was the 2nd worst in the division.

2nd season under Ange 8 highest touches on the box 4 pens given, still disproportionately low compared to our rivals but yeah 'coincidence' I guess

Had a right laugh at that NLD when Ben Davies was kicked by Rice in the box which Michael Oliver stood right in front he was so desperate not to give the pen until VAR overruled him, that was funny.

What was even more funnier about that match is when Kulu got tripped up by Trossaed in the box when he was about to shoot, didn't want to give that one obviously:D

The club is seen by the owner to be too good to go down, fans seen by themselves as higher in stature and refinement than any other clubs' to complain because doing so will be ridiculed by fellow supporters to be acting like a scouser or a goon.

Everything about us is too entrenched in our history, basking in it. But history isn't going to save us once we drop into the championship. Many clubs in Championship and League One are full of glorious history but they won't play in Europe, probably ever again.

OK fair points - i was talking about this - but im sure there are other reasons for why this happened and i can guarantee rival fans can point to similar situations where they should have been given penalties too.

I havent seen a single valid reason as to why we are being targeted.

And i never said it was a coincidence - maybe other teams players are instructed to play for penalties more?

who knows.....but conspiracy lol, nah. Sore losering imho

Explain why our goal was disallowed and liverpools wasnt. Nevilles reactions? No penos this season. Newcastles peno, disallowed goal v west ham and multiple others. Romeros getting red while others get yellow or nothing.
Even saka hacking simons down yesterday feigns injury gets away with yellow

Refs literally said they were biased towards Leicester in 15/16. PL said they want new winners every year. The bias and corruption is there

Gabriel is so good at this, he constantly mis judges the flight of the ball when it's in the air particularly when he need to defend but he's really good at getting himself out of trouble and buying fouls, he reminds me of Puyol for Barcelona, he was great at diving and deceiving the referees because he initially fucked up.

And we arent, hence the difference. It has nothing to do with bias.

If he played for Spurs that weakness would be spotted and an unshakable narrative built around it. Officials would be influenced by that narrative and he’d be considered a liability

Why did romeros not get sent off vs Brentford then.

This season we dont ever have the ball in the box how can you win pens when you only cross the ball in

Every team has dubious goals allowed/disallowed.

How come Woolwich players are the only ones that got sent off for kicking the balls away last season

How come Fernandes gor a red against us last season

How did Liverpool goal get disallowed against us 2 seasons ago.

CONSPIRACY!!!!!!

The most blatant handball ever swept under the rug and never to be seen or heard again. Even on here people were not making it a big deal.

Absolutely incredible it wasn't given. The following week they demoted a ref who didn't give city a handball against wolves even though his arms were lower down looooooool
