This is the song that called out to me last night. I've already posted it in two different threads but it won't hurt to put it in a music focused one:

Kenny Loggins, This is It. Loggins is mostly known for movie songs like Footloose, Highway to the Danger Zone (Top Gun) and I'm Alright (Caddyshack) but this song was about the loss of his father. A great example of what they call Yacht Rock with the obligatory Michael McDonald backing vocals.

I’m going all Stone Roses

I wanna be adored - Levy

Bye bye bad man - for the Levy outers

Made of stone - Dragusin trying to run

Shoot you down - what I’d do to our squad

I am the resurrection - our Championship title next season

Elephant stone - Dragusin again

The hardest thing in the world - us trying to win

Mersey paradise - Liverpool match?

Standing here - Vicario not leaving his line

Begging you - just fucking try!

Tightrope - we are on one

Good times - several years ago

Tears - me

How do you sleep - out squad of feckless cunts

Love spreads - no, it fucking doesn’t

I'm feeling more Oasis. Not because of the songs but just because they had their rise around the time City were relegated and were drifting in the lower leagues for a few years.

I remember Noel being interviewed just before their playoff final in league 2 a week after Utd won the treble.
