West Ham always had enough goals in them to survive ; it was a matter of them sorting out their extremely leaky defense.
Arrival of Disasi, a good no nonsense centre back for a team trying to stay up, and players getting immersed in Nuno’s tactics seem to have made a noticeable difference in that department: That’s 3 clean sheets in the last 5 games now.
More importantly Fulham, the same team that could’ve easily scored 3-4 against us a few days ago, barely created anything today.
While it is true that they have no depth and a few injuries to certain players could destroy them, they’re certainly good enough to survive at the moment.

My optimistic take...10 pts...hoping 39pts total on the board will be enuff.
But knowing Spurs have a habit of letting us fans down, I really wouldn't be surprised if we only picked up one more win, 3 draws and 6 defeats...sending us to the Champo.

I think a calm but determined walk around to the West Stand atrium post match and voice our displeasure in front of all the suits, and not leaving until we get some kind of response might have to be one course if action... REGARDLESS of whether we stay up or not...
Everything has been a shambles since the moment Johnson staggered off the podium with the UEFA Cup in his hand, and everyone left the Parade last season pretty much.... It's literally the highlight before falling off a cliff! Shocking, truly shocking.
We failed to take advantage of our ALMOST period between 2016-19 where we couldn't QUITE get a trophy over the line.... But now we have in 2025, THEN what? We STILL fail to build in and capitalise on our relative success, so that the fall off feels even harder!

I think they have some good individual players including Gibbs White, Anderson and Murillo.
They also play us in a few weeks, but its still tight. The momentum has just continually been shifting for the past 2 months since we lost to West Ham and now we are here.
Sadly , they will do neither
I bet you anything Poch would still take the gig and it would likely also avoid the board looking elsewhere as we wouldn’t get a better candidate if we were in the Championship.

It may as well be etched in stone at this stage.
The board will want to create good will (and above all, renewals) after this disastrous campaign. There is no other option that would offer more potential for that.
Even if we stay up, but particularly if we go down - who will we be able to get that is a better option?
Yeah don't get me wrong - I'm not saying it's likely we come above Leeds. Pretty much any talk about us confidently outperforming the surrounding teams is wishful thinking at this point. Was more just pointing out the relative quality of the squads. And even Sunderland have invested big and have a few clear standout players that a team like Leeds simply don't have - there's no Xhaka equivalent.
Just had a look at Leeds fixtures and they still have to play Burnley and Wolves at home. We'd need them to have a Spurs-esque crisis of confidence and completely shit the bed to not at least get to 37-38 pts I think.
Vicario, Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie, Bentancur, Sarr, Bergval, Kudus, Spence, Solanke, Kulu and Xavi will all go.
Bissouma and Davies out of contract. Muani and Palhinha return to their parent club.
Maddison might stick around due to injury, but wouldn’t be shocked if he went.
Leaves us with Kinsky, Danso, Dragusin, Souza, Gray, Odebert, Tel. Then Mikey Moore, Lankshear, Vuskovic, Scarlett, Dorrington, Barnett-Williams and Donley.
McKenna I would think would be the alternative if we can’t get Poch.
