We have been shit (and ridiculously unlucky/crap with injuries). But getting relegated because spam beat us to the post, the gooners winning the prem (and whatever else) and Chelsea possibly being the game that seals our fate can't happen. Surely?
The only solace I can offer is that West Ham and Forest would need to be incredibly shit for us not to be relegated before the Chelsea game comes around.

Does anyone have any confidence at all in us winning matches rest of the season?
Any confidence I had completely evaporated last night. The magic number to stay up is going to be 38 points. We need 3 wins.

Bin Dippers away: 5-1 loss (29)
Forest home: 2-2 draw (30)
Sunderland away: 2-0 loss (30)
Brighton home: 2-1 loss (30)
Wolves away: 3-1 loss (30)
Villa away: 3-0 loss (30)
Leeds home: 1-1 draw (31)
Chelsea away: 4-0 loss confirmed relegation (31)
Everton home: 1-1 draw (32)

Spurs: 29, 30, 30, 30, 30, 30, 31, 31, 32
West Ham: 28, 29, 32, 33, 36, 37, 37, 37, 38
Forest: 31, 32, 33, 36, 36, 36, 36, 37

Going from last round of games, both look like they're functioning x4 of what we are.

They're 'feeling' survival.

All there is here is a sense of doom.

Said last season that a toxic home culture bred-in due to constantly losing would be corrosive and be a very stubborn stink to remove and psychologically fuck the players and fans in a place that needs to be our mainstay.

The players dread walking onto that pitch and the fans expect disaster.

Very, very difficult situation.

Harry and Keano can bypass all that, lighten the atmosphere, lift the gloom and get fans and players up for survival.

They have a strong, positive link to club and know what we're all about and what's required to get through this, in all aspects.

Especially MAN MANAGEMENT with the mindset these players are stuck in.

Again, this situation is all about VIBE.

The energy needs to be recalibrated.

Thing is we have zero momentum and are on a terrible run.

No wins this year.

2 home wins all season.

I just dont see how it all suddenly turns around to winning 4 or 5 games out of the last 9.

I want to believe it's possible but I just don't see it.
IMO, the only chance we have is if Tudor bins off the players who he thinks aren't putting in the effort. Get the cancers out of the dressing room because that attitude is infectious. Replace them with players like Byfield who'll actually put in a shift even if they aren't as good. Players like VdV and Spence should never play another game for this club again.
Cheers. Just been reading Newcastle fans on Twitter saying pretty much exactly the same thing as you have when they went down. There seems to be a common denominator of terrible owners making a series of bad decisions that once they begin are almost impossible to reverse. The PL is too unforgiving.
It always starts with the ownership. The owners set the culture of the club. Our owners have made it clear that sporting success is less important than turning a profit and enriching themselves. Absolutely nothing will change until ENIC piss off and we get sold to anyone who prioritizes winning and accepts nothing else.

We had to blow up 70% of the squad in the summer along with Ange going.

It should have been the biggest summer window in the history of the club.

I just cannot believe the Summer we had after losing 22 games in a season. The fact we thought it would go back to business as usual is just absolutely ludicrous and heinous in hindsight.

Redknapp is 80 and hasn’t managed a club since the Stone Age. A ridiculous appointment as things have changed since his day. We need to splash the cash on a winning manager not an interim who knows nothing about us and will gladly move on in a couple of months with his easy money.

I completely agree : 100 % .

My post was actually a ( very ) lame attempt at a pun on “ three pronged “ .

Could any other club appoint a manager with apparent promise and end up in a relegation fight, whilst his former employers appoint the set piece coach to replace him and are fighting for Europe?, quite mad really how virtually expected Brentford to absolutely plummet.

I had no idea ENIC had defenders remaining. Will these wonders never cease?

I am not defender of ENIC, I think they have done lot of shit and it includes the appointment of CEO and Sporting Director.

But just pointed out that under their ownership the club has objectively and measurably improved. This is not debatable, it is black-and-white fact.

I would be happy if the total revamp would also include change of ownership as well. Until it would be someone professional and adequate. But right now club is bleeding and to stop the bleed Vinai and Lange have to step down or be forced to step down.

Probably the only one willing to take on the short term contract?

Improved in terms of infrastructure yes but our trophy levels are the lowest since the war but worse we have lost our culture as a club, one which used to be known for flair and edge of your seat just as Woolwich where known for a great defence. The ENIC case is all based on the Harry and Poch years and that it wasn’t as bad as a few years in the 90’s. They are fucking shit and if we get relegated in this manner which is to do nothing good in the Jan transfer window while sitting on Frank for months longer than he should have been here they will go down as perhaps our worse long term owners of this club. Their entire MO was to build the stadium, they should have sold then and they would have banked a ok stint instead they carried on without a plan post stadium and here we are.
