Bold players are probably lucky they have elite health care. Most of us could end up disabled with the injuries they have sustained.
Non bold players have sustained the sort of injuries that will literally prevent you from walking without serious pain for months.

But they're pussies.
Riiiiight.

Re paying injured players wages, we likely have them insured.
Most companies of any kind actually insure employee wages. If you're signed off on sick for a certain period, your employer will take the first few weeks/months like an excess, then claim the rest.
I work in insurance and have literally seen Premier League wage claims in the past. (Although those were actually due to players being injured on international duty and the national team insured them)

So is today the day we finally drop into the bottom 3 ? I don’t think anything is a material shift since our last match, which feels forever ago now, much has changed, but I wonder if anything has changed!

Probably in answer, even though Wolves have looked pretty decent of late.

It's so damning that a high majority of us are more concerned or expecting us to fall into the bottom 3 tonight than believe we can go above Leeds by Sunday evening.

If West Han win and we lose it will be a very very painful weekend.

Paying wages for players injured on international duty was agreed with FIFA a number of years ago . I doubt clubs insure their players against injury . Number of injuries these days it would cost a fortune.

I’m pretty sure that the PFA ran an insurance scheme for “ career-ending injuries “ . I’d be surprised if they still didn’t, for lower-league players at least .

But given the wages of EPL players; I’m guessing that players may have to make their own arrangements. After all , all other things being equal; the premiums would be proportional to their earnings. Just like normal people with loss-of earnings policies.

But I may be wrong.

They literally do. I work for a company that insures some...
Most employers insure their employees wages. They don't just pay people who are off on long term sickness. If you have a good sick policy, like 6+ months full pay, it's insured.

I’m not sure about run of the mill injuries, but surely they’d insure against career ending injuries considering the transfer fees and wages at stake?

From our perspective we just need to be ready for Sunderland.

What West Ham do tonight doesn't just put pressure on us if they win. It's by no means just them or us for the drop.
I'd go one step further - We need to be just as focussed if West Ham lose. we have had a horroble habbit of throwing away opportunities when they knock.
If they fuck up, then it's just as much of a must win as it was before they kicked off.

10000 % agree with all of the above.

IF Wolves do us a huge favour; even less reason for our players to go out celebrating at a North-East nightclub * til 5 o’clock on Sunday morning.

They can do that when we’re safe .

* Even though they’re said to be excellent.
