Disclaimer: obviously I don't want to get relegated

Everything you said is true, but I think there is another side to that coin. Burnley, who had a significantly worse squad than us, got relegated a few seasons back then absolutely romped the Championship under Kompany. Newcastle had a great time down there under Benitez and came straight back up.

De Zerbi with, say, 60% of our current squad, our best youngsters, and a few signings, would be very very competitive in the Championship indeed. I'm not gonna get all cocky and say we'd definitely walk it, but we'd be in an extremely strong position compared to the teams that have gone down and struggled.

I think if we go down and come straight back up it will be remembered by fans as one of the most fun, memorable seasons in a long time especially in the wake of 2 years of constant losing in the league. A new dawn, integrating youth, winning games, playing teams we never normally play, etc.

Whilst I ( and a fair few others on here ) genuinely loved the 77/78 season ( although it was incredibly nerve-wracking at the end and we only claimed 3rd spot on GD on the last day ) ; I fear it wouldn’t be quite so enjoyable this time around ( should the worse case scenario happen) .

I hope you’re right btw ; but for me , for now at least, relegation is something to be feared and avoided; much like spending a nine month holiday in a remote unheated cabin in Siberia , in winter, with only Liz Truss and Paul Merson for company .*

( Other less extreme analogies are available ; but you get the picture ).

Embrace the chaos....
We've wanted to feel ALIVE again since last May ..
This wasn't QUITE the way I'd envisaged it, but at least it'll wake a few people at the club up....
Thats the problem. They've been asleep at the wheel for near on 2.5 years. In fact it's more like an induced coma. I doubt relegation will wake them from their slumber.

And if it STILL doesn't , then come the end of the season we riot until they've gone... Tear the fucking place down if we have to and re-lay that fucking GRID IRON PITCH they're so fucking proud of!
We won't riot. We can barely muster 250 people for an anti ENIC protest. We will do what we always do. Take it up the Gary Glitter full and hard and hand over a grand for the privilege.

I've never simultaneously loved AND HATED Tottenham as much as I do now.

I desperately want us to stay up...
But wish nothing but ill, pain and bankruptcy on our parasite owner...

I won't wish death on them all, as that's the easy way out.. but a long, slow descent into financial ruin will hurt that Scrote head Lewis WAY more than any jail time!
Last I read, Lewis has significant health issues and recently received a pardon from Big Don so he can get treatment in the US. He's 88. Doubt he gets to 90.

Just look at the smiles on the faces of these people on football focus talking about spurs being relegated

I'm certain the sentiment exists around the other 19 clubs, and the referees.
They'll all be working out their skin to make it happen.

RDZ is a good get, but 10 months too late , these owners deserve what's coming to them

The gravity of our situation has hit me today after seeing WHU blow Wolves away and cause us to drop into the relegation zone for the first time

It's probably between us and Leeds now, and they have much easier fixtures.

I only saw the first half and there was nothing between the two teams. If wolves didn’t have the woeful Armstrong up front they may have even gone in ahead at h-t. It was like playing with ten men.

I’m assuming second half was completely different given the score. But I’m struggling to read too much into it. Win Sunday and we go back above them. I’m shit at predictions but I think if we do win then we will do enough to stay up.

All the fans dont deserve it but I believe ENIC and Vinai deserve relegation more than any club has ever deserved relegation.

I don’t subscribe to this. I think some fans definitely do. Those that don’t will be the ones still supporting us and spending money on the club if we are in the championship next season. All the hangers on can fuck off for a season or more. I’ll be delighted to get rid of them.

It's not time to Cry. Nothing will change. As Fans, we in a Win, Win situation for the first time in a long time.

1) We get Relegated (Not what I want but on the bright side). ENIC loses a huge chunk of money and will either sell or start changing their MO.

2) We don't get Relegated (What I'd prefer). DeZerbi has laid down his demands so things will be more in his control. He's not intending to Kill his CV after seeing what Frank, Tudor, ......... (as Far back as most can remember), had to go through.

Either Way, a change will have to come and I'll keep shouting. I'll still withhold anything financial until I see change.

PS, I beg of many, "Please Stop the Ange Talks. He's Gone and hopefully will never come back".

I’m sure some will point to Levy’s departure as the catalyst 🤦🏼‍♀️

Interesting analogy.

The definition of a catalyst ; is an entity that speeds up a chemical reaction, that would have happened anyway , only more slowly.

Ie a catalyst doesn’t cause a reaction to happen it just accelerates one that would have happened naturally, albeit over a longer period of time .

I think it’s a perfect analogy in that regard.

Our injuries aren’t just bad luck

Not for 3 years straight

Something else is going on
And it can't all be attributed to the pitch or medical staff (who I believe have been changed multiple times). How many times has one of our players suffered a "setback" in training that later required surgery or is mysteriously out for far longer than expected? They have to be getting misdiagnosed by club doctors.

Someone said it on a podcast, I think it was Rosa on RTR, a lot of our players are internationals, we play in several competitions like a big club, but our squad is not built like a big club that can rest and rotate senior players.

It’s the lack of serious squad building. The players get worked until they break down, which leads to more and more of the same. It’s a vicious spiral.

Anyone who believes in Karma, there is a horse running at Aintree today called Air of Entitlement that has a chance. Going in the Jet2 Liverpool Hurdle at 15.05.
