It is all about vision and smart recruitment. We are probably going down so the club should be planning for it (as well as if we stay up). Build the club around De Zerbi and his desired DoF. If/when he fucks off bring in another attacking manager who can work in a similar system.

I have no idea why Lange is still around. What does he actually do day to day? I bet he can't believe he is being paid so much to play minesweeper and sneak off to look at pornhub all day.
We're down, it's done.

We should be looking at players like Hayden Hackney. A good player coming through who can get us up and improve whilst at it.

Another is Carl Rushworth. Get these exciting players in now and rebuild.

Yeah Sunderland aren't easy on the eye but they're an effective PL team, unlike us.

Le Bris has done an incredible job for Sunderland.

Got promoted with virtually different team and has moulded a Prem ready team from the the transfer business of two windows.

It will be interesting to see if there is further progress or a regression next season but up to this point he should be in with a shout of manager of the year.

Too expensive we need to look at non league players now. The Tottenham we all know is gone. We are a lower league club and will be forever more. A giant of a football club used and abused by parasites to build a construction portfolio. Tottenham Hotspur plc is now an embarrassment to the football world and nothing more than humiliation to us fans!

ENIC need the club in the premier league. If not they’ll be bleeding money as the name doesn’t get the recognition anymore. They wanted £3b to sell, now they’ll be lucky to get anything more than £700m when they’re in the championship.

We are we all run business, not football club. But going down makes us an unattractive business which is what ENIC, and only ENIC, deserve.

Yeah - they won’t sell straight away when we go down but I do wonder how long they will let this asset bleed their funds before they call it.

Thing is all our forwards are shite on the break too. Our best players for that type of system were Son, Johnson and maybe Odobert? All the guys we have left just don't seem capable of playing any kind of coherent style or system tbh.
Was thinking this today.
We seem to have signed a collection of players who are quite specifically suited to certain styles. The problem is, all of them are different styles that clash with everyone around them.
Maybe a consequence of flip flopping on managerial styles, or just utterly incompetent scouting.
Let's face it, it's probably both.

One of the biggest downsides of us getting relegated is that we’ll be stuck with ENIC for a few more years. There’s no chance they’ll sell up at a cut rate, they’ll take their chances and hope they get us back up the next season.

This in itself is a very dangerous punt as they’ve proven time and time again to be inept at their jobs. They’ve sleep walked into getting relegated and can genuinely see them doing the same in the championship, it won’t be back to back relegation, but missing out on automatic promotion or play offs.

Ideally this sparks a mini revolution where they do a mass clear out of players and backroom staff, we fully imbed some of these promising young kids we’ve had around on loan for years and come back up next year with a young and hungry side, just really can’t see it.

There seems to be folks thinking reegation will be the great reset needed, but does anyone thinkthese pwners or this board know what they are doing football wise
these players will not get us out of the championship, so we need a to get men whowill fight to get us back to EPL, then we need to buy players who will move us up the EPL and not be in the bottom end or worst a yoyo club
Do you really think ENIC will pay out that sort of money ?, they didn't spend £100m in Jan to help keep us up,
I've seen several comments from Villa fans about how their relegation sucked when it happened, but it ended up being the best thing that ever happened to them because it let them clean out the club. Got rid of all the toxic players, staff, and club leadership that were weighing them down for years.

Of course that's different with us because no one has any faith in ENIC to hire the right people to lead the club once Lange and Vinai get sacked. Our only hope is that ENIC panic sell to someone competent and committed.

Depends.
It might be less of a loss making exercise if they get out ASAP after we go down.
Sure, they'll take a hit now, but there's every chance they'll mismanage the situation so badly we'll be stuck down there for years. If that happened the losses would be considerably worse.

While I agree to some extent I think our path to the Championship is alot more than this season. The total lack of a football philosophy at the club and proper recruitment goes all the way back to the 18 months without signings maybe further. Levy might have sacked Frank earlier and saved us but it really would have been the arsonist putting out the fire. Levy and ENIC have to go, 25 years and no football strategy is unacceptable.

Lange buying kids and hiring Frank is just the epitome of how poorly this club is run.

We are the perfect case study on how to not run a football club. It used to be "doing a Leeds", now it will be similarly known as "doing a Spurs" but for different reasons.

When I was younger I would have cared a lot more. Now?

I’ve lost so much empathy for the club the players etc I won’t be that bothered.
If we go down I will go and watch the odd game if they sort out their pricing.
But generally I spend my “football” money and time on my dog and short breaks these days.
So it’s just not having the same impact it would have once upon a time.

Going to see people like Roberts, Perryman and Ossie talk about their time at the club is always good. I feel that players like Dawson, Ledley and even O ‘Hara would have a similar feel for the club.

This current bunch? I’m not so sure. But I think the fans also have a lot of contempt and disdain for the players. So maybe it’s a circular thing.
These players have just won us a European cup, you’d think there would be more love for them.

Maybe it’s just modern football?

I think a massive lack of home grown players and having a couple of top English/British players has contributed to this. We have neglected to have either and you cant run a successful or even middling football club without them. Look through all the other PL clubs (except maybe Wolves) and they have them. We dont.

Glass half full. Great to see.

That was the whole defence of ENIC.

‘Don’t want to do a Leeds’, ‘remember the 90’s’

Motherfucker, this is far worse than the 90’s. I’d go back to that any day compared to this shitshow.
