That’s totally irrelevant imo .

We may not have suddenly become prime-Barcelona. But frankly we’re not looking to achieve that right now .

We just about fronted up ,didn’t completely fuck up and somehow left the Black Country with three vital vital points in our pocket .

What more do you want ?

Genuine question btw .
This isn’t about becoming a prime Barca side. I just don’t think we’ve got the quality, either through poor recruiting or injury to consistently build up any sort of threat moving forward.

We’ll see what news comes out this week, but we may be looking at a front 3 of Tel/Richie/RKM, without any creativity in midfield, call me negative but I really struggle to see where goals will come from against much better opposition than Wolves.

To your point, yeah I guess we didn’t completely fuck it up against bottom of the table Wolves, which to be fair is an improvement for us.
Did we front up? I’m not so sure about that, we looked ok for the first 15 min, but it’s not like Sa had to make any saves the first half, or for much of the 2nd.

As for what I want? This season to be over, to have new ownership, or for the current lot to hire competent people.

Spurs were 5th 2 seasons ago. Had vdv, Romero and Richardson not got injured, they would have been top 3.

Romero, Bentencur, Van Der Ven, Kulusevski, Kudus, Palhinha, Gallagher are top drawer players.

Madisson, grey, udogie, Porro, Richarlison are good enough to play in top teams.

Tel, Bergvall, Odobert promising young players.

Danso, dragusin, Bissoma are ok backups (and better than most teams have as 3rd choice)

This squad, on paper is top 6. Add an elite striker,
Keeper and a winger an its title winning quality.

In 2 seasons, Spurs haven’t ONCE been able to field their best 11. Completely disasterous transfer strategy has mean backups have a completely different profile to the 1st choice player.

Can you let us know when your next stand up show is 👍

This squad finished 5th with many of the same players. And they won the Europa Leage.

Since that 5th place finish, you could argue that spurs have improved the squad.

So, one of the following MUST be true

1. Holbjerg was elite and carried the squad to 5th.

2. Injuries have prevented the squad playing to their potential. Not once in 2 seasons have Spurs been able to field their best 11.

3. Problems behind the scenes at the club are affecting the playing squad.

4. There is anti semite conspiracy to relegate Spurs and unfair officiating has been our downfall

5. Werner was the key. Once he was out, we couldn’t buy a win.

6. Lewis family want the club relegated so they can buy out Levy on the cheap.

7. Poor transfer strategy, signing good players but not considering playing style and rotation. Coach can’t implement a definitive style and formation since the rotation players have a different profile. Example, VDVs pace, recovery allows a high line. Dragusin is suited to a low block, and lacks recovery pace.

I’d say it’s a lot of 2, a bit of 3 and a sprinkling of 7.

Definitely 5 !!

The scenario is being set

West Ham and Leeds will play out a 0-0 draw on last day to relegate us by a point ...

No way winning 3 games
No way West Ham aren't picking up another 6-7 points

The main reason we are in the shit is that Son, Kulusevski and Maddison have been absent this season and Kudus has missed half of it. The rest of the squad has zero quality in attack.

Leaving aside the managerial issues, the mentality issues etc, if we go down it will be because Vinai and Lange did not act in January even though they knew all those key players were unavailable long term. They thought Tel, Muani and Odobert would do the business.

Proof there's industry wide fixing.

MoTD didn't show the 2 footed studs up tackle at all.

And I just saw the penalty Everton didn't get.
Tell me again how two arms around an attacker AND A HANDBALL isn't a penalty?
How? When it would help Tottenham.

The only thing that mattered today was winning, however ugly to stop the rot of 15 windless games.

We can only really concentrate on our own patch. The concern is though the Spammers since they turned their season around against us are not a relegation side. They have 6 wins 4 draws 3 defeats from 13 games. Woolwich only have 2 more points than them over those 13 games. That’s Top 6 form from the Spammers over 13 games. We may have to pick up 9-10 points from our last 4 games if they keep going at that rate.

Only teams ever relegated in a 38 game season after picking up the mythical 40 points, the so called benchmark for survival are:

Spammers (42) 2002/03
Bolton (40) 1997/98
Sunderland (40) 1996/97
West Ham are in reasonable form but then, they also did something about it in the January window.
We will probably have to win every game to avoid the drop, that's not happening and therfore it's us that will go down.

It’s called arrogance. Got offered Lookman a wide left winger we desperately need but didn’t want to make a ‘stressed’ purchase.

Still with all the injured we are going to have Kudus, Maddison, Kulusevski, Xavi in the championship. They won’t be going anywhere with their injuries.

That Brighton equaliser was a real kick in the teeth ,a win yesterday to get out of the bottom three should have given us a massive boost ,the Hams equaliser something similar a huge four point difference those two results .
