I just want this nightmare season over and I can deal with the outcome. I need to stop getting my hopes up at the slightest chance that we might escape.
The point against Liverpool away, then getting stuffed by Forest.
Holding our own against Sunderland, then one of their players should have been sent off.
Xavi's stunner against Brighton, then a sickner of an equaliser 20 minutes later.
Getting our first win in 2026, but suffering another long-term injury to our only creative player, and WHU getting a last minute winner, when Everton should have got a penalty.
Too much for my heart and blood pressure to take.
Just stop it now.

It is why the fear of it going down to the last game is horrendous. Unfortunately it looks like it will go that way.

Nobody should be taking their kids to that game and risk them being that crying child on TV and Sky sports for the rest of their lives. The images of us in the stands that day will be etched in history I think.

I think we've received every conceivable signal from the universe that this is just our time.

Football Gods demand it.

For the sins of Baldcunt/ENIC.

Absolute miracle if we stay up, but, still, it's not over until it's actually over.

Fully making the required mental adjustment to being a championship team tho.

Will lessen the impact of the most likely outcome.
I think at this point its best just to hope we get Moore, Lankshear, Devine and Philips in and around the team, add some good champo players, sell a load of old toss and actually win some matches next season. If Vinai and Lange pay the price its a plus on its own.

I think it might be quite good fun but we just have to put up with the next 4 weeks and a load of excruciating, unfunny football bants all summer.

I'm taking it match by match. I reckon Spam will get max 1 point from the next two and luckily they play both before us. If that happens and we can get 3 (or even 4) points then we are in the driving seat, but as long as they don't better our results by more than 1 point we're still in with a reasonable chance going into the last two games.

If my heart can survive this amount of stress I'm sure yours can...

Leeds hadn't won 2 games in a row all season until recently.
Home or away. They have won one more game than us.
We've been an utter clusterfuck since we gave a pub manager 2 fucking years in the dugout.
2 YEARS.

Frank had no chance of fixing it.
Especially as the players like the pub manager.

Even Rosinior managed 4 B2B wins and 2 draws in his first 6.
A narrow loss. A narrow draw. A narrow win since employed a football coach who coaches players.
We need to forget what has happened and base everything on now. What is going in now, not in Dec 2025 etc.

If these rumours are true about the PL trying to move our Chelsea game to the Thursday because they don't want a clash with the Europa League final on the wednesday then thats an absolute disgrace and the club need to fight this.

To expect us to play 2 games in 3 days (Thursday and Sunday) on the final week of the season is simply not fair. No team would accept that given our circumstances. If the club let that happen then we deserve to get relegated. We should be demanding we play that Tuesday and as close to that Chelsea cup final as possible. Wednesday is the fair solution but if not Wednesday then it has to be Tuesday. Thursday has to be a complete no no. We cannot let this happen. If we do then we deserve to be relegated.

DOES ANYONE STAND UP FOR THIS CLUB???

We both remember the last time the club was relegated.
I have mentally prepared myself for it, real shame they couldn't beat Brighton week before.
West ham won't need many more points because, I can't see us getting more than 4 points in total.

I like it. We can still do 9 points and stay up.

Lots of different permutations been mentioned ,I don't see us getting many points so kind of relying on West Ham's form to fall off a cliff which doesn't appear likely .I said before but that Brighton equaliser and West Ham winning the other day really makes a massive difference.
