Absolutely buzzing this morning , I’m sure the players will be as well , however we need to remember this is far from over , the light is at the end of the tunnel however we need to get there , I get people will say “Villa made subs” however we have been absolutely terrible , so it doesn’t matter who was playing we deserved that win!
Whatever RDZ is doing in training he needs to keep at it , put in that effort against Leeds and we have more than enough to get the 3 points!

Now we have our noses in front, the good thing is we know exactly what we need to do before we play our next two games with them kicking off a day earlier than us.

Personally I think 1 more win does it. Got to leave absolutely everything out there vs Leeds and hope that we develop a 3 or 4 point gap with a superior goal difference after that match.

Yes, if we can beat Leeds a home win would be welcome.
Then, as long as west ham lose to Woolwich, we will be 4 points clear.
Then if we both lose our away games then, its over we have survived.

Yeah we really dont want to be going into the final day needing a result or for West Ham to drop points. Leeds is the most winnable fixture for both teams so getting 3 pts in that is crucial.

If we can beat Leeds and they lose to Woolwich, the pressure will be HUGE on West Ham away at Newcastle. If they drop any points at all in that fixture it's basically over given the respective goal differences.

Just being realistic
Sorry, but it’s being unambitious. Replace players like Vicario, Dragusin, Davies, Palhinha, Bissouma, Sarr, Richarlison, Muani with better players who are suited to De Zerbi football and we can, with no European / midweek football, win the league next season.

Bergvall, Gray, Moore, Vuskovic etc. will all count as home grown the following season as our squad becomes better equipped for European football.

Of course, we could still go down this season, but if we stay up we should go for it. To spend 2-3 years aiming for mid table consolidation is ridiculous.

They’ve lost 16 league matches, same as us. I don’t think anyone would be claiming we’ve been anywhere near satisfactory.

They’ve been terrible for the entire duration of the campaign. They’re safe with that Brighton win but they are one of the clear underperformers of the season.

Bit like us where they have missed certain players that have really hurt them.
Bruno missing for them is as big as 2 of ours, he's that big a deal for them.

I’d rather go to the bridge knowing we’re safe. Chelsea would love to relegate us more than anything. No way we’re beating them away if we need a result.
They won't be able to relegate us if we beat Leeds.
That's the point.
If we go to the Bridge knowing we can get 3 points, send Spam down AND get a rare win there, it's a triple motivator.

We spent most of the 90's being mid-table with cup runs and pretty much never had to worry of being relegated. Relegation would be the worse thing for this club so to be in this much shit 2 years running, we need to realise that, unless we get bought by a billionaire Qatar resident, then we won't go for it as you say.
