Just took a glance at one of Newcastle fan message boards. You can read a unanimous agreement that they want Spurs to go down, how it is good for them to have us go down, how it is an opportunity that occurs once in a lifetime, how they feel ok throwing this match.

Guys, I tell you, there are a lot of Spurs haters who would move mountains to have us relegated.

Of course the wankers in the stands want to see us go down, but the players are professionals who want to win every game. The idea they'll be strolling about I think is nonsense

Honestly we've broken the collective brains of every other fanbase in the country, and I've no idea how.

They'd rather send us down than finish above their actual rivals.

Maybe its just me because I am just so sick of this shit. The last few managerial hires along with the board signings and the squad building have been so pathetic.

Its now on course already to be another relegation fight with how January has been planned.

Its such a deluded setup from everybody involved.

I don't disagree, but it'll be a hard toil down there if we take the ENIC approach to preparing our promotion push.

Bookies still have Newcastle as strong favourites.

Obviously their fans would want us to go down. As they would any other Big 6 club in our position.

That doesn't necessarily translate to the players though. They probably couldn't care if it's us or West Ham.

We decided we were too good for everyone else and deserved to be in a "Super League" despite having won two league cups in thirty years.
We were part of "Project Big Picture*, demanding the PL reduced to 18 teams so we could have more dates to play European fixtures - because we were always going to be in Europe and were obviously never going to get relegated.
We had a chairman who constantly tried to bully other clubs and move the goalposts on transfer deals.
We have fans who created a really negative home atmosphere until the last couple of months, because we didn't think the team needed our support to survive.
Overall, every aspect of our club acted in tandem with the so-called Big Six despite not even having the trophies to justify that ego, and now we're in crisis, that's always going to be hilarious to everyone except us.

The only chance we have is if spammers lose against Newcastle and I don't think that happens. I don't even think they draw, I think they win.

I mentally prepared myself for the championship a long time ago so I'm not surprised but I will say that the villa game gave me a bit of hope.

Newcastle will want us down and Callum Wilson's mates will love doing him a favour, we are done.
 
I'm choosing to think we'll beat the Chavs tbh. I know it's there but our away form has been good this season and they're not all that.

It's whether that's after a Spam win or loss that I can't decide.
