If one was to give our owners and Board any benefit of the doubt, and I know this is very thin ice, they misplaced their trust in the dynamic duo of Vinai and Lange who got the management appointment and decision-making spectacularly wrong and have shown to be incompetent and ineffective on the playing talent front. No matter what happens, I would hope that those 2 are given their marching orders this summer.
They should've been sacked in humiliating fashion already.

I think the board made a decisive gamble in not spending much in January, as they didn't want to 'waste' money on anyone just to fill a shirt. I wonder if them saving £100m will cost them more in the long run. Time will tell, but, given our injuries and the desperate need to sell Johnson (?!), I do think that 1-2 half decent players could have been found if they really wanted them. I mean, they could actually start their conversations before the window opens. Palace obviously did.

I don't care anymore. Staying in the loop of being embarrassed in the prem every season where all the refs hate us and Woolwich and Chelsea beat us every year home and away is just shit. Every time we are on TV, I just know the ref is going to make one big call against us and none of the pundits ever stick up for us. Its just horrible supporting us in the prem! Especially when we only show up for Man City ( who I practically support in the league most years now!!!).

Life would be so much easier and stress free in the championship. We'd be winning games every week. Scoring 4 or 5 at home. Mikey Moore would be tearing it up! The vibes would be back. This loop of being shit in the prem every season, always been embarrassed by our rivals and flirting with relegation is just not fun.

If we got relegated then we could sell this stupid stadium to the NFL and sack every member of the board. Become a football club again!

Next season when we are down what do season ticket holders do?

It will be easy to get tickets so we won’t need a season ticket but if you don’t get one then you lose your seat and go to the back of the queue if we come up again the following year.

Quite the quandary for us. The team will obviously need our support so we should renew but the club don’t deserve it.

I’ll still go to a lot of games but the motivation will be low. Although probably higher than it is now!

Rayan went to Bournemouth, Bobb went to Fulham, Geussand went on loan to Palace, Aklihouche was available, even Lookman got his move to Atletico Madrid.

We sat on our hands, did nothing, blamed the market again and left our team with no natural width in the midst of a relegation battle.

Crystal Palace and Notts Forest in March are huge , along with Leeds and Everton at Home in May .

Those are the only 4 games I've got any confidence in and even then it's not a strong confidence .

If we are relegated I'll be devastated , but it's exactly what the Enic group deserve .

Those are our four cup finals and the games we should target to win above all the others. The other fixtures don’t matter in a way if we win those games. We almost need to target them and not worry about the rest. Too much jeopardy doing that though.

I feel the same about much of this sentiment, at the moment at least. But I don't think we'll be pumping teams 4-0 on a weekly basis in the Championship. Bergvall, Odobert, Gray etc aren't going to take that division by storm. Depends what players we brought in too of course, but I'll be restraining my expectations until we see what the squad looks like, if we do end up going down.

If we are down.

Honestly I'd go to more games but relegation will impact the club for years and I wouldn't expect us to go straight back up.

I live too far away to be a season ticket holder, but, i think that all the time the fans give their money to ENIC, ENIC gets paid and they don't care about the football, unless the football hits them in the pocket, which it's close to doing now. Big gambles taken on their part, but no real care for the fans, it's just self-interest.

I think fans should hit them in the pocket to break the cycle of them taking the fans for granted and maybe realising that there is a football club somewhere buried in amongst their business.

There are a few players that clearly don’t want to be here.

I’m just hoping they don’t think us going down makes it easier for them to move on and don’t put in the effort we need.

The same Lookman who was determined to not be good enough for us has been excellent for Atleti so far.

theres the skill issue where the players genuinely aren’t good enough for PL football. Overpaid youngsters and bought on hype (though oddly not good enough for any of the big clubs to go after them) so 2nd rate hype players

But also you have teams like Nottingham Forest and West Ham that have been in relegation battles before and a better team unity and so know what has to be done.

We’re going down. Wheres the ENIC plan trusters now? “We’re doing a Leeds”
