A few of them are quite cosy knowing they'll be sold in the summer if relegated. But it's good to know that for the rest it's gonna seriously hit them hard in the pocket.
We can't sell 22 players in one summer so alot of them are gonna have to enjoy good old championship football if they don't get their act together

Maybe put up a nice poster of Preston in the changing room along with the 5 hour coach drive up the M40 :davieshmm:
There'll only be a handful of players in demand. Who's going to buy Odobert while he recovers, Sarr, Porro, Bentancur, Dragusin, etc?

I'm willing to say that this is worse than anything under Ange. At least we looked exciting and created chances.

It's been obvious since the Chelsea/Scum games that we had regressed as a team under Frank (and Vinai) but even with injuries last season these players were able to get 3 wins on the bounce this time last year. Surely we can do the same to get out of this mess?

If they're motivated to leave and we're motivated to sell to raise funds that's a different scenario.

It would be unprecedented for a club of Spurs' financial scale to go down. Leicester was much smaller, Juve in the Calciopoli scandal was a much earlier time in football finance, clubs like Rangers or River Plate were big clubs but didn't have top players.

So it's hard, probably impossible, to predict.

But the basic mechanics would be that the top names, especially the foreigners, would want to leave. The club would need to raise funds to fill the revenue hole, but would also be of a mind to dramatically outclass the Championship in order to ensure immediate promotion. So that sets the stage for some very difficult negotiations.

Forest finished 8th last season with basically the same squad and West Ham have won more games and taken more points from harder fixtures since the start of Jan, we are fucked IMO unless we can get Bergvall and Kudus back and on form for the run in.

Does anyone know if Eileen Drewery is still around and /or available ?

Seriously ; we’re in this sort of territory right now .

( And please no gags about getting her registered as a player ; although she may well need be thrown into the fray if things continue as they are , before the seasons over ) .

No, a lot of them know that Spurs is the limit for them - who is Vic going to and playing as number 1? Gray, Dragusin, Biss - this is the best it will ever be and they got a trophy out of it.

The problem is we’re really shit, our fit players are really shit, our manager is shit, our form is shit, our league position is shit, our defence is shit, our midfield is shit, Vic is shit, our attack is shit, our owners are shit, our transfer policy is shit. We’re just shit.
No shit

Spurs giving Philips, Devine, Donley and Lankshear experience of being in the championship to prepare them for playing for spurs in the championship was next level forward planning.

Gives me faith the board know exactly what they are doing.

We need to find one player to inspire the team, and it might be the returning (soon) Romero, or that the team simply come together.

I strongly believe we will do enough, but it's not a feeling as opposed to thinking we will find a way.

And I could be wrong, of that I am certain.

Best comparison I can think of, besides Juve, is Schalke and HSV getting relegated, but they didn't/don't have nearly the same financial clout as us.

Good players from recently relegated Prem clubs have fetched pretty high prices in recent years, so I imagine we won't get swindled for anyone. But that's probably placing too much trust in the board.

The thing that annoys me about this kind of thing is it's largely context free pile on. Jordan is right about Tudor not having the authority to go so hard on the players but then he goes on to do exactly the same thing himself.

And, yes, the players have to do better BUT we have 11 first team players missing. Just like last season. No team is capable of playing to its levels with that kind of disruption.

On top of that there's this hubris amongst fans and commentators alike that Spurs should somehow be beating Fulham while having 11 players out. This is crazy. Even with a fully fit squad Spurs aren't clearly that much better than Fulham's first 11.

This isn't 2017 any more. It's not even 2022 when we had Kane and Son in their pomp. Our best and most important player is always suspended; our keeper can't kick the ball; our most prolific forward is Richarlison and our best press-resistant midfielder sucks balloons for recreation.

The 5th placed finish and the EL masked the truth. Our squad is a mess. They are competitive if everyone's fit but everyone is injured all of the fucking time.

So kicking the ones who can hobble onto the ground is pointless. Or, at least, it doesn't help.

Nah
He needs to go after three matches? What are you smoking?!? We can’t keep blaming and firing managers!! It’s on the players at this point,

Tudor must stay until end of the season, the bed has been made, we lie in it now.
I don't agree. Im not normally one for chopping and changing and yes it's down to the players and I'm not sure any manager will get much improvement but any small gains could be the difference. We don't have to lie in any bed we have made. We stayed with Frank too long in the first place. We can't do that again.
This guy has actually been worse than Frank so far. His team selections are appalling and his hasn't had any new manager bounce.
I personally hate five at the back ,which is his preferred system and playing young Archie at LB and Gallagher at RM two games running and not starting Richy and playing Simon's LM where we know he has been even more ineffective than in the 10 role. And starting Dragusin over Danso. Terrible selections and no balance.
Needs must and these are desperate times.
He has to get a result against Palace and the performance has to be better .
3-5 games I would give him as harsh as that seems. He was brought here for an instant improvement and a short term fix. It's not working so far.

Who would you bring in with 5 games to go assuming Tudor fails to win any of his next 5
