corse they will..

This relegation fight hasn't got worse yet. Im fully certain we will end up in the bottom 3 at some point over the next 10 games, but I believe we have just about enough to survive at the end of it.

So I would say prepare for this to get worse before it gets better.

That's my opinion too dependant on beating palace. We'll dip into the bottom 3 but finish 17th or 16th by no more than 3 points

If we can't beat palace then I think we're finished in this league

SInce we beat Villa 4-0 away almost 2 years to the day we have played 77 league games and it reads

Won 22, Drawn 14, Lost 41

This isnt some freak or a bit of bad form.

This is the thing.

Ange threw the league for the last 10 games of last season to concentrate on Europe. And we were the 19th team in the league during that 10 game run in.

However the 20 games before that Match day 9to28 - so over half the season - we were the 17th team in the league.
When we were trying!!

And the 3 teams below us were dreadful - they all went down. No longer here to compete with us.

This season MW9-28.
18th in the league. 15 points.
West Ham the team in 17th. 21 points.

Burnley and wolves the only two teams worse than us. Burnley have 12 points. Over half a season we are more in touch with Burnley than West Ham. That’s how bad it is.

This situation has been staring us in the face.

Palace (H) - lose
Liverpool (A) - lose
Forest (H) - draw
Sunderland (A) - lose
BHA (H) - draw
Wolves (A) - lose
Villa (A) - draw
Leeds (H) - draw
Chelsea (A) - lose
Everton (H) - win

I've got us on 7 points ... as optimistic as I can be. Typed "win" at the end, when I think "lose" is more likely!!!

I’m dipping in and out , so excuses ; but even that’s been worked out by some super-computer ; It’s not far-fetched to think we will only garner 7 more points . In my opinion it’s not infeasible that we end up with less .

Anyway; just wanted to add to the general atmosphere of cheer and happiness.

Coming from the last 2 months of performances, in which we played 2 of the bottom 3, and got one single point, I think it's quite far-fetched to see us garner 7 points. We've got 4 points over our last 10 games, the same number of games that we have remaining. To better that by almost twice, whilst having 1 point in our last 5, is on the optimistic end of things.

If we start getting results, it'll be very much out of the blue.
