Moving on to the next vain hope, perhaps seeing our lead shrunk to a single point over Spam and Forest will get their minds into it. Toiling in a lost season with no hope of achieving anything wasn't working, but fighting for survival might provide the required motivation.

I genuinely hope this starts to clarify in the minds of some frankly pretty odd parts of our fan base the true level we are at. Because I feel like there is a myth we are two top players away from competing. We are not. NONE of the squad are world class they are a few erratic decent players but over 80% of them lack the technical ability mentality fitness to be world level. We got carried for a decade by Pochettino work and Kane and Son.

There is no way that Poch joins us down in the Championship. The level of candidate we'd be able to attract will go way down.
