It boggles my mind that following that we didn't bother to sign any players that would significantly improve our team in the following two windows. (Can argue about Xavi, but he's been shite.)

Well the bottom 3 didn’t get any more than 25 points after 38 games. That was the bar.

After 29 games this season=
18th has already got 28points.
And 19th has already got 19 points.

If the bottom 3 had of been half decent we would have been in trouble.

...looks like a DNA test results!

DNA test! We’d fucking fail at that as well.

That's right.... You heard!
Pal, I'll be positive about Spurs when they start acting like the 9th richest club in the world. When they start respecting the fans. When they don't concede 22 PL losses in one season, only to follow it up with 13 (and counting). When they're not on the brink of relegation. When our DoF starts doing his job. When we stop hiring Gooners. Etc etc.

You heard!

What concerns the matchdays - yes. That is the way to go.

But I mean... come on... don't we have smart fans around? That would know where Vinay and Lange are living in?
There HAVE TO BE protest, signs, banners, fireworks going off every night next to their houses, very clear and loud (yet non-violent nor law-breaking) reminder constantly that they are thoroughly hated and their total incompetence is existential threat to the club!

Cause these cancers have to be operated out as soon as possible. Regardless if we go down or stay up. Cause THEY proved with December-January period that they do not have what it takes. Not even 10% of what is needed.
I am not in favor of taking things out of the stadium and away from these sorts of conversations, they are men with families who don't deserve to be included, nor for their homes to be exposed to those who would take things even further.

Otherwise I agree that the fans need to be far more direct in our criticism. The support collectively shares some part of this, because we ratify the board's decisions by continuing to buy tickets and spend money. When the current crisis has passed, if it does, we will know that ENIC only cares about the purse, and the only way to effect change is to hit them where they live.

My only hope here is that perhaps some of our players now grasp the reality of the drop and will have some personal shame about being involved in it.

I’m not sure if that’s enough anyway - as has been written we don’t have the match-winning quality of Forest or arguably even West Ham. But perhaps, as a long shot, maybe this group of players does have something inside them after all.
I wonder what the feeling in the dressing room is about the current state of affairs.

Who do the players feel is to blame for this situation? Both publicly (as to the dressing room) and privately?

Is there anyone on the training ground thinking "I've got to do better, this is partly my fault, I've been shit"

Are they mostly going round thinking it's all someone else's fault? "The attacking players are shit, if they pulled their heads out we'd get out of this"

These sorts of mentality factors are leadership questions, and the club's identity comes down from the top. Is there a culture of responsibility? Of holding others accountable? Or is everyone just strolling about convinced that they are not the problem?

Call me bonkers McGhee but I reckon Tudor is gone if we don’t win tonight.
I don't know about tonight, but I do think there is a point soon where I'd pull the Redknapp lever or... something!

We are past panic stations, and if Tudor can't manage a point from 4 games or what have you, if indicators are that it's not working, we can't lie there with the sword right at our throats and do nothing

Redknapp is unavailable as he is touring with his one man show!

Not really...in a highly liquid market like relegation, betting odds behave like prediction markets with house margin.

The odds are set using models and then people try to exploit any differences resulting in an equilibrium similar to a prediction market.

With a market like relegation odds it's very competitive and so it should be quite reflective of the actual chances (plus the bookmakers cut).
I lean more toward the statistical prediction models and these which work out all the possible outcomes. That is my inclination, others have others.

Others believe the gambling industry is oriented around more high minded purposes than enticing betting and draining the wallets of the poor, I do not believe they have any other inclinations.

It's weird, I almost feel like relegation would be good for us (even though it obviously wouldn't) this club needs a major reset a la Man Utd in the 70s or River Plate in 2011.

We might not win any of the next 8 league games, and then we will be 18th or worse. The crazy thing is, we sold Johson within minutes of the transfer window opening, and after balancing the books again with Gallagher, the only net gain is basically one 19yr old who won't even play.

A week to go and we haven't spent any of the war chest on first team starters, so will we do our usual thing and do some desperation buys a few mins before the window closes?
I'm sorry I posted this now.

We are gone lads, as much as Van der Ven’s clearance in the Europa League final is a wonderful memory in us lifting the cup, his pull back will be etched in my mind when we go down.
