It's typical that we're in a relegation battle for the first time in 30 years and the team we're fighting is in champions League form

At least forest are still faltering and Leeds can stay dragged in hopefully

Getting a draw against a team fighting for 4th place was a good result by a team with half a team. People on here never giving credit. Time to get behind the team, not keep on criticising every little thing.
The difference between the two benches - let alone the the 11 on pitch - was insane on Sunday. For two years people have underestimated the debilitating effect of so many injuries to so many key players on a squad already thin on quality and experience.

Form changes.
Match day 11-20. Top of the form league. Villa.
Match day 21-30. 18th in the form league. Villa.

West Ham’s next game - Villla away. 3 points for West Ham then?
On form only they should get at least a draw.

It’s a funny old game. Let’s see what happens.

Case in point. Villa have injuries now. They are, inevitably, now sliding.

Yes, true, and that's with a manager most would say is in the tier just below the best.

You also see with some players, like Rogers, how hard it is to be at the top of their game for more than 8 to 10 games. It's the key difference between the best and those who are thought of as the best.

Injuries can be so impactful, but that doesn't excuse all the dross of the last 2 seasons. No way.

Emery will know that winning the Europa is not a given, so finishing 4th will be his target, and on the basis that only 1 or 2 of the English teams appear likely to progress to the next round of the CL, making 5th less likely to secure CL. (A good thing in my opinion).

They'll need 21 points from their last 7 games.....

Considering that they've only got 17 points from the first 31 games I'd have to say no chance in a million years.

Even with their temedous form the last 6 games they're still only averaging 1.5 points a game which would mean they reach 32 points.

They've left it too late
Also, to get those points would mean they beat West Ham and Leeds, which would be handy.

They all want us relegated so badly. I'm reading articles claiming that the point at the weekend didn't matter. That our fans have given up. That we aren't a big club. Nah man, you fucked up this time! You've only gone and united the whole fanbase behind the team again. That richarlison goal has swung the momentum.

This Sunday we'll show the world how big a club we are. This will be the loudest the stadium has ever been. We'll show every one in the media and the rotten PGMOL that we are in fact too big to go down. The world will find out just how big we are on Sunday.

When we get behind the team there is nothing like us in terms of support. And the team gave us a reason to get behind them last weekend. The media can pretend it didn't matter but it did. And your going to feel it this weekend. COYS

So Forest win and MGW scores?

So Forest win and MGW scores?
Very likely! But that's out of our control. What's in our control is to be completely behind the team and as loud as possible.

The media really underestimates just how good our fans can be and the really underestimate just how big a football club we are. We are so much more than just a fancy stadium. I know plenty of match going fans, I'm going to the game myself this weekend. It's been a long time since I've had so many messages from people about this game and just wanting to be as loud as possible.

The media have insulted us and called us out. They've poked the bear. And this weekend we'll do everything we can to show the league thay we are in fact too big to go down. We might lose, the players might not respond, but we'll show everyone how big a football club we are.

Leeds got Brentford (H), Spam, (A) Manure (A) next.

Tricky stuff.

If they come out of that badly they could nosedive completely.

Their PTSD of going straight back down will kick in.
Brentford at home under the lights - they beat them

They play West Ham last game of the season. You got United correct though 👍

They have Burnley and Wolves at home also - by the time we play them they will be on the beach

It’s us or Forest, win this weekend and it’s Forest going down. In fact win this weekend and I wouldn’t be shocked if Marinakis fires another manager.

Leeds have some absolutely brilliant fixtures with favourable kick off times.

West Ham are doing what they’ve done a few times before.

So much rests on Sunday - win and we close this thread.

Forest are realistically the team we can still rely on to fall away over the last 8 games. Even if we lose to them, we’ve still got the capability with our remaining fixtures, especially compared to the run they’ve got.

They’ve got 3–4 difficult games back-to-back in the last five. The only real gimmes look like Burnley and the final game of the season.

Villa – H
Burnley – H
Sunderland – A
Chelsea – A
Newcastle – H
Man U – A
Bournemouth – H
Maybe the fifth manager in the season will win all of them 😀

The players will hopefully be elevated on Sunday and not crushed by the support.

Irrespective of tomorrow,s game against Athletico, I sense (only sense), that Sunday's point against Liverpool, and the manner of it, the togetherness that was shown, can and will galvanise the team for Forest

That the supporters will be there, both in trepidation but also expectation, and huge support. That maybe for once we get the luck that has been on holiday all season.

Forest will also be tired, and we just need to capitalise on every single benefit that we have. Home advantage, 24 hours longer to prepare, and noise.

I think away teams see our wonderful stadium and they want to play well in it, it inspires them. our team sees our stadium and it shrinks. That wasn't apparent when Kane and Son were playing, they gave the rest of the players a feeling of belonging in such a stadium.

None of this has been helped by Thomas Frank talking the team down, and the decline of Son last season.

We have a big team stadium and a squad of pipsqueaks.

I agree on all points. It's the opposite to a fortress ans teams love to play us there. Hopefully the fans can help change that. We need to boo the referees more and be on there case. Ita a joke how we haven't had a penalty all season

Yeah I agree.

Before next season the club needs to get these players some psychological help, and bring in a couple of top players that can help break this curse.

All points made are valid.

The club needs to get the right manager, and I think we will have to change quite a lot of the personnel, and that's it.

Psychological help is called winning and confidence.
When Bale left Kane was coming through, so we had top player after top player, along with some other very good players.

Looking at the squad now, IDK maybe Kulusevski and Maddison are the best attacking players the club has, they both run hot and cold IMO.

I think we're pinning our hopes on some of the young players like Moore, Bergvall, Tel, Gray, Simons, coming through and reaching another level of development.

Even if we avoid relegation why are any top players going to want to sign for a team that have been bottom dwellers for two seasons?
